but I would only recommend it for an airgapped box or something on a private network
part of our standard config for setup trading servers is disabling all that crap ... but the only connect to the exchange on a private network

for me, my password manager works just fine... and for corporate side SSO, we have Okta, or Symantec secure something, or MS Auth, and they work
back when I read about it, and really went about configuring it in some sites I found it so convoluted that I gave up midway

worst 2fa experience I have is ~18 years ago I tied my main email account to apple when the new intel based apple laptops came out. After 4-5 years the laptop died and I moved back to windows. But now that the Apple Vision Pro game out ... I tried to log into the account again and cant. Apparently they claim to have sent out an email saying 2fa needed to be setup years ago ... and I never did. So they account is locked ...
Doesnt have 2fa ... but requires 2fa for login
called up apple support and they said there is nothing they can do ... cant delete the account, cant move it to a different email ... cant reset the 2fa
they said maybe I should get a new email address ...
so now I have <standard email>[email protected]

What the fuck is wrong with Ubuntu
When you install Ubuntu Server 22.04 it allocates 1GB for the /boot partition.
But when you upgrade to 24.04 it says 1GB is too small
Apparently the 24.04 launch is a complete disaster, with lots of people saying the desktop is unusable
I remember a few versions ago if you cleanly installed Ubuntu, you'd constantly just get error messages on the desktop
Just constant messages "Oops, something crashed"
And I shit you not, the response of one of the devs was "Why do you care? It's not like it impacts you"
It's wild how badly tested one of the most used desktop Linux distros is
I know a lot of people shit on Ubuntu literally just because it's popular, but given how they have major corporate backing, you would expect that their QA team would do a better job.
And it's not like those issues occur on the most random niche hardware from 2001
