@JourneymanGeek It seems they're trying to make it so that it's difficult to install Windows on a computer that didn't have Windows 11 pre-installed in the first place (i.e. more vendor lock-in).

Awesome write-up!
> To the best of my knowledge, this is the first public writeup of a KVM guest-to-host breakout that does not rely on bugs in user space components such as QEMU. The discussed bug was assigned CVE-2021-29657, affects kernel versions v5.10-rc1 to v5.12-rc6 and was patched at the end of March 2021.

hmmm
I wonder, if the fact there's no untagged vlan, is causing my issues :S
07:39
@forest after spending half a decade trying to move people off to windows 10 :D
Windows in a sense competes with its own older versions as much as newer OSes

not the fact there's no untagged vlan either :(
jhust windows, being retarded.
And I've no idea where to turn now
Our ops team just kinda shrug

@djsmiley2kStaysInside I had that happen to my dad once. I spent a couple of hours trying to debug it, couldn't figure out anything, and then it magically started fine a couple of days later
see that has happened to me previously on this machine
You should just do what my dad's tech support suggested. "Just reinstall windows?"
Like yeah, I'm gonna backup all my files, reinstall windows, reinstall all the software I have installed (god knows what has to be done with the one's you need a license for), all just to fix outlook
12:08
The fix for Outlook is called Thunderbird.
Outlook is not a piece of software, it's a bug.

:D
Thunderbird, when I last used it, had it's own interesting issues.
Yeah, it's not perfect. But IMHO it's far better than outlook, and it is interoperable, unlike outlook that uses custom "html" formatting and has a lot of quirks.
I remember when Eudora was a thing

Seriously, ?!
