Do we really have to specify that discrimination based on neurodiversity or "body size" is not allowed? Is that not covered by simply saying not to be rude?

I fail to conceive of a single situation where someone would get away with spouting racial slurs at someone just because the Be Nice policy says no bigotry but does not specifically say no racial slurs... All the CoC will be used for is as a weapon to be exploited, even if only to waste someone's time.

As an ex-troll (GNAA/ED/chan crowd), I can confidently say that codes of conduct are frequently abused by trolls and enable further community disruption. I have seen a number of communities completely collapse shortly after they added a code of conduct.

@Joshua.J as far as I can tell all ISP's do the bare minimum to support their customers (only know of a couple of possible exceptions who major in customer support)

So my usual plan is to go with whatever offers the best speed/stability

Andrews and Arnold would be my preference - but where I am they would be way too expensive and Talktalk hasn't annoyed me much this year

If they do I will move to Virgin - which would up my speed from 38 to 350

however we learn at school the diference between american english and british english

@Kepotx ahhh - that's a tricky one. The UK has so many accents. Glaswegian is completely different from Edinburgh, and they are totally different from the north east spoken Doric, or the Norn of Orkney etc

yup - @Kepotx we have been invaded by so many communities over the years that we have everything: Angles, Saxons, Jutes, Vikings, Romans, French etc

maybe because in a capital there are also lot of social class

I mean, you've got probably more "slang language" in popular area, and more "traditional language" in rich area

Also, capital (and big cities in general) have more foreigner than small towns, so that could change a lot in language

not sure if it's the best example as french already have a big influence in english, but there are a lot of french in London, so that could have an influence

you just need to leave in a country and be fluent to realise it, but it's the same everywhere

basque country (wich is not really a country, but a region between france and spain) is really small, but there are lot of difference between areas, not only in accent but also in ortograph, verbs...

and even if i'm fluent in basque, I can have some struggle to speak with someone from Bilbao

even if it's not broad, it interest a lot of linguists, as it's one of the oldest in Europe

it's not even an indo-european langage
