A friend claims that messages and call records get deleted from her iphone by a hacker. How easy is it for a hacker to delete messages, phone numbers and call records from an iphone?

@Telkitty unless the person has physical access to the phone it's not going to happen

@AJHenderson I'm not going to name any companies in particular... but there's a hypothetical company that's good enough at defensive security that they had to do pro-bono consulting for non-profits just so that they could get realistic examples of how real-world attackers behave.
...and then they started making acquisitions...

Hello folks, am I correct in assuming that almost all the data on my computer is stored on the hard drive ? I googled it and the answer seems to be yes, except for volatile memory RAM, etc. and the firmware and BIOS (which is stored somewhere on the motherboard, I think?). I was wondering if the things on my desktop were actually in my hard drive and then realised it was a silly question because it's something like C:/Users/Username/Desktop.

@HsMjstyMstdn yes. effectively almost all storage is on the hdd (or SSD) for things that users do
there are a few little exceptions like certain cryptographic keys may be stored in a TPM
but any files are stored on either a HDD or SSD
I suppose there are other options to such as usb sticks and writeable optical media, but you get the general idea
there are also some settings related to configuration of hardware that may be stored in hardware itself, but again that's very limited information

Alright, thanks.
