darn, second targeted attack in 3 days, and this time one fell for it. $insert_cussing_here
just a curiosity, how common are targeted attacks to deploy ransomware? I though targeted stuff was used for RATs and the like.

@Gilles polarised screen + polarised glasses might work.... Unless the attacker has the same glasses...

Guys I need a consultation
I am confused between two SANS courses to take.. Malware analysis or mobile forensics.. I work currently as a security researcher.. according to ur expertise which course is more important u think :( both are interesting

@Lamia I think both are important, but forensics could be more lucrative. Most companies just want rid of malware, whereas assigning liability is usually quite a high priority

@vin read the FBI pages - loads of good info there on high profile hacks. Yes, it's a bit delayed, but often fun

LOL
I managed to setup WPA2-EAP at home with ironwifi.com
Using Tunneled TLS option as with the user-certs OpenSSL was failing due to the cert being 512bit long, it fails on Fedfora
21:24
There's no other way to think that 512bit RSA is just plain stupid
To the point it even breaks Fedora's OpenSSL
"breaking stupid"

In the manual of IronWifi there's also mistake that one should load their cert (IronWifi cert) to trusted roots, this is nonsense as it will potentially expose number of users to cert leak which is used on their servers, and it doesnt need to be done
In Linux cert is specified in the config for wifi only and on windows 10 only signature of the server is confirmed by user
Regardless that, my home network with WPA2-EAP is a lot more secure now having 54 wifi stations in range
