gps is bad indoors, the OS has a list of wifis and their locations. if wifi is on, the OS can check which wifis are in reach and interpolate the location.

@BlueBerry-Vignesh4303 with my car, you could log into the mp3 player by its ethernet, USB or serial ports (or the wireless side) but that will not help you hijack the car as the audio system is entirely separate to everything else

you'd also need a username and password anyway, and to run as admin you'd need to su and have that password as well

I have no use case where I could possibly want my entertainment integrated with nav or ECU

(although speed related volume control such as VW have is kind of cool)

which makes sense, given that the screen is already there

and it's easier to use and not cluttering the dashboard than different devices.

also, integration of nav, stereo and phone makes sense.

dimming the music for nav directions, pausing on phone call,...

yet, there is no reason to be able to apply the brakes using the radio

Hey guys, I'm not sure if I should ask here or on SuperUser, but would it make more sense to store multiple encrypted backups on a non-encrypted disk, or non-encrypted backups on an encrypted disk regarding cross-platform backups?
Does anybody use one of these methods?

Non-encrypted backups on an encrypted disk mean you can perform differential updates, if that is important to you

Encrypted backups will change as a big block, so you couldn't do that

One of my backups (my photos drive) I store as one large block. SO I'm not worried about incremental. Everything else I store as incremental updates. So both scenarios have different solutions

I have a PC, a Mac and a mobile device and I want to back them up on a NAS (which I'll be using for multimedia stuff as well) and backup the NAS on an external harddrive.
