> Lawmakers in West Virginia who consumed raw milk after passing a bill legalizing the unpasteurized dairy beverage have fall ill, but they insist the flu is to blame.
Seems like it's taken out of context... I've never gotten sick from raw milk. Still sounds funny, though
I wonder if raw milk is on the list of things that the Daily Mail claims give you cancer... Or the list of things that the Daily Mail claims cure cancer, for that matter

@silverpenguin Like I care about social stigma. I have long purple hair. Walk around in metal bandshirts all the goddamn time. Social stigma is the last of my fears.
A certain co-worker of mine has a habit of placing his foot on my desk while conversing with me. My desk is an L shape and where he stands is not across the desk from me, but at the end of one of the legs. This makes me uncomfortable as his crotch is at a relatively close distance to my face. I ...
@Simon yes I do, when people who're supposed to be in a position of authority abuse that authority without consequence it recalibrates your scale of care
also the fact that particular individual has asked already for him to stop, the fact he continued doing it can only imply he's offering himself up for target practice
so you should kick him in the nuts and then repeatedly stamp on his face once he's hit the floor.
> I realize the most honest solution would be to directly confront him about the issue but in the past when I have done this it always results in this odd period that can last for days where he acts like he has been offended, mopes around, and generally avoids me.
@Simon She was scary though. I'm pretty sure she could pick up any kid from our class with a single hand and throw them through the window in a smooth motion if she wanted.
@Ohnana side note: Growing up, a 6'5" chick at my school was being pinned down by 5 different adults, and they couldn't hold her down... she was pissed, and flinging them around. lol. Not bad for a 12 year old... wtf.
A long time ago people talked about the Harvard architecture, which had the program separate from the data. Similarly, if the software of a server was not modifiable (burned in to a crystal or something - note: hypothetical, do not attack this premise) and it came out of the box with no root user...
I heard that there are a ton of credits and assistance for my county/state for first time home buyers, so I started to casually look at the assistance programs.
Unfortunately, because I would be living with my (unmarried) partner, we make barely too much combined to qualify for most of state an...
"I net 70k, gross ~60k last year. Partner grossed ~40k last year. We both have 700+ credit scores and no credit card dept. Rent is currently $1,345. My partner's finances mostly break even, even with me footing ~75% of rent, foot, etc; though I still save $200-400/mo for a down payment."
Hydra /ˈhaɪdrə/ is a genus of small, fresh-water animals of the phylum Cnidaria and class Hydrozoa, native to the temperate and tropical regions. Biologists are especially interested in Hydra because of their regenerative ability – they appear not to age or die of old age.
== Morphology ==
Hydra has a tubular, radially symmetric body up to 10 mm (0.39 in) long when extended, secured by a simple adhesive foot called the basal disc. Gland cells in the basal disc secrete a sticky fluid that accounts for its adhesive properties.
At the free end of the body is a mouth opening surrounded by one to...
