I think you can find them in any decent IGA
Ya they usually have a nice collection.
raz
raz
@ThomasPornin I have not had one of those
Looks like some of you guys follow @Pittoreski on Twitter - who's that?
raz
raz
My Unibrou Grand Reserve has been in my fridge for about a month. I really need to drink that one. It's already been aged 2 years.
@Iszi Should I laugh or?
20:12
@Simon Oh, that's you?
Yeah.
@raz Mmm...Delicious.
Was trying to decide whether to approve a follower request. Guess that makes the decision easy.
@Simon What? Don't I follow you already?
@Xander You do.
raz
raz
20:14
I don't use the Twitterverse
@raz I have it mounted as read only.
6
raz
raz
hahaha
@DavidFreitag That's the best way to handle it.
@Simon Oh, must have fat-fingered the username when I entered it to see what @Iszi was talking about. I ended up on some protected account that I didn't follow. Much confusion ensued. All is clear now.
@DavidFreitag I tried to mount your mom as read-only. Ended up getting full access.
20:17
@Iszi Yeah, she's got some serious vulnerabilities. I hope you used a vpn.
lulz
@DavidFreitag Oh, there was some serious tunneling involved.
raz
raz
@Iszi Is that a euphemism?
@raz This is the DMZ. Everything's a euphemism.
9
@Iszi darn it, you made my beautiful sweet bagel proclamation go away.
3
20:27
@Simon Oh, I'll blaspheme your bagel all right! Wait. No I won't. Ew.
God damn man.
Someone got caught up in the euphemism.
raz
raz
@Simon Your mom and I have serious tunneling issues.
Why did I get involved in this thing now?
For once I was nice.
Well now it's too late, I will unleash my fury.
YOU'RE A BUNCH OF DONUTS.
There.
raz
raz
Being nice has never gotten anyone anywhere in this world.
20:34
So true.
@raz Being nice certainly gets you somewhere. It's a place known as the friend zone.
@DavidFreitag You'll find a woman who has had enough of assholes eventually.
@Simon ... eventually
It'll happen when you'll expect it the least.
@Simon even your furry is sweet
because doughnuts are sugary treats
20:47
@AJHenderson ...do you realize what that simple misspelling has implied?
@DavidFreitag it's not a misspelling
lol someone pinned @Simon 's sweet bagel love before I got to it...
@AJHenderson You didn't mean fury?
raz
raz
@DavidFreitag No no... he meant furry
@raz Being nice sent the Dalaï Lama to India.
20:49
@DavidFreitag Being nice got me a wife. I like that quite a lot more than the friend zone.
raz
raz
@ThomasPornin And now he can't eat cows. So see how that worked out for him?
@raz not true though, it got me the ability to pin simon's love of sweet bagels
@Xander of course, being nice also got me a baby
4
@raz it's the animal that's sacred not its meat ... they just herd them across the border where they're not sacred, butcher there, send meat back ;)
raz
raz
@AJHenderson Well that's debatably a good thing
@raz I got a baby
20:51
@raz ...aaand I'm confused.
in what world is that a good thing? ;)
@AJHenderson TWSS?
@Xander Is there such a thing as too nice though? I have been described as such on more than one occasion.
raz
raz
@DavidFreitag Too nice definitely gets you in the friend zone.
20:53
@raz Yes I know what a furry is, I must have missed a reference in there somewhere though..
@raz or more accurately, you might NOT want to check it out
raz
raz
@AJHenderson And ruin all my fun!?
Never
@DavidFreitag simon was unleashing his furry
I just assumed he mispelled it fury
@DavidFreitag I think it's likely a mis-identification. I don't think such a thing as "too nice" exists. I think when people describe someone as "too nice' they really mean "doesn't stand up for himself" or "won't tell me what he wants" or are attempting to describe some other form of dependent, non-self-actualized behavior.
20:55
@Xander oh dear, we are now giving out actual useful relationship advice in the DMZ
notify the presses
@Xander Nope, I stand up for myself when it is necessary. The last time I was described that way I helped a person who's car died on the side of the highway. Gave them a ride to the nearest gas station and loaned them some money to get their car towed.
@DavidFreitag it is also sometimes used as a description of overcompliment
similar to "you're too generous"
ie, you are doing more than I deserve
@DavidFreitag I'm not saying that you don't stand up for yourself, necessarily. I'm saying that "too nice" doesn't exist, and that whoever uses that term is either copping out of of specifying what really bothers them, or doesn't know how to accurately describe it.
@Xander It probably doesn't help that I'm completely oblivious to social cues.
@DavidFreitag Yes, that can definitely be a challenge.
21:01
If only my parents cut the power cables to my computer. Perhaps I would have actual social skills
@AJHenderson Yes, this, or smothering behavior where the amount of attention you pay becomes uncomfortable to the recipient.
@DavidFreitag Nonsense. It's never too late to learn.
@Xander Accusation of being "too nice" can be any of "you are too nice; you must be hiding something", "you are too nice for your own good (you'll get swindled)", "you are too nice, it makes the rest of us look bad", "you are too nice to slaughter all the people from that town and make a pyramid of their heads, as our long-standing policy mandates",...
(the list is not exhaustive)
@Xander though hanging around here might not be the best place to learn ;)
if you really want to learn, check out The Bridge ;) or perhaps english language and usage ;) ;)
@AJHenderson Are you suggesting the bridge for learning social interaction? Because that might be the worst idea ever.
@Arperum EL&U gives them a run for their money
21:07
@AJHenderson Drive-by arguments?
but... if you can survive in The Bridge and EL&U without pissing someone off, then you must be doing something right
or possibly a whole lot wrong
@ThomasPornin Yes, that is true. The defining factor is that "too nice" is not a factually correct diagnosis for any of the non-sociopathic mechanisms of complaint.
@AJHenderson That is an excellent point.
@AJHenderson That is a dangerously likely outcome.
@AJHenderson Probably this.
21:29
@Xander I didn't understand a word, you donut!
Sorry, I must be missing @Simon ... he's too nice even for a Canadian
@AJHenderson Being nice gets me the action required to have babies but without the result.
@TildalWave Aaaww <3
@RоryMcCune Ah god damn it.
@Simon ahhhh a classic "two scoops cornetto" nice
@TildalWave You donut.
22:02
@Simon dang it, I have a perfect response for that too, but it would be over the line
