@LucasKauffman That's not even remotely older than @RoryAlsop.

Wow. At first glance, I mis-read "deployed" as "destroyed". Thought life was going to get real interesting for a second there.
A SpaceX spokesperson confirms the #AsiaSat6 spacecraft has been deployed in orbit. http://www.spaceflightnow.com/falcon9/012/status.html

Dammit - can someone edit that to be the image
@RoryAlsop: There you go
@RoryAlsop nice :-)
though I do have to say the 3 of you look the same as 3 of my kids throwing simultaneous tantrums ;-)
@AviD Except that your kids aren't fossils. ;)
@TerryChia well, one with long hair flailing about; another banging things around shouting angrily; and the 3rd sitting in the back actively ignoring everybody else.
yup, seems about right.
@AviD Great, you got a band. Sign some deals and live off the profits.
08:14
heh
curse of my family: we cant sing.
@AviD Auto tune dude. Auto tune.
we've got rhythm, we can keep a beat, we can dance the hell off anyone, but we cannot, should not, sing.
@AviD So basically Skrillex?
hehe
@LucasKauffman Oooh nasty.
08:21
@RoryAlsop how many gigs do you play like a year?
@LucasKauffman This year or the average of the last thousand?
I c what u did there :P
@TerryChia a chart would be better then
Thanks @journey
@Lucas - I've got 4 next month, but generally one or two a month. Big gig at hard rock cafe in Glasgow will be fun
08:41
@RoryAlsop that's a lot actually
Giggity
We had a whole stack of go pros including one on stage do hoping the video is good
08:55
@RoryAlsop you record the sound seperately and sink it later?
any of you guys playing BF4 btw?
@JourneymanGeek I WILL go a long way.
(god, that entirely dates me)
I will NOT date you
08:59
Thank heavens for small mercies.
and they lived happily ever after
@AviD @JourneymanGeek You two are starting to sound like Adnan and Kalina.
@TerryChia consider yourself #Simon'd.
@AviD You overuse that hashtag so much I don't even know what it means anymore. :P
@TerryChia well, IN THIS CASE, you are on the verge of being kicked. Constantly.
09:08
@AviD Meh. @RoryAlsop keeps threatening me with that but he always forgets about it in a few hours. -old age joke-
hehe
09:25
I should start writing on my blog post again
do you guys have anymore stuff you say would be interesting to see what we talk about
@LucasKauffman What's the topic?
@TerryChia this is @LucasKauffman we're talking about. What do you THINK the topic is?
@AviD Yeah but I don't think even he is insane enough to write about boobies on the sec.se blog right?!
@TerryChia oh please.
09:47
So much for recruiting at infosec cons https://twitter.com/CrimeADay/status/508004890350993408
hahaha
are you implying that some people imbibe spirits at these conventions??
@AviD looks at @LucasKauffman
10:08
huh. I just realized that SVN is an apache project. That explains so much.
10:19
@TerryChia well now I've indexed the whole dmz, I want to draw statistics about stuff we say
10:38
@LucasKauffman here's an idea: chart out the most common topics / sentences per each person (the regulars, I guess)
or rather one should say "irregulars".
like word counting?
@LucasKauffman Are you indexing it on an on-going basis?
@TerryChia not yet
@AviD Did you see that whole April Fool's thing this year about moving SVN development to git?
tha was an april fool joke?
10:42
@TerryChia I can though, I'll throw my code on git tonight, you can have a look there are still some dirty crashes in it at the end though
seems to me that NOT moving it is the joke.
I am saying that SVN is a joke.
Because SVN sucks.
@AviD We are all well aware of that.
I know, but it bears repeating, since not everyone is yet.
@LucasKauffman Nah, way too much things on my plate right now. Reading certificate related RFCs is stupidly tedious.
I also need to throw in some multi threading to boost the speed a bit
if I ever want to index other rooms
10:45
@LucasKauffman Running the script once for each room is probably faster.
@TerryChia good point

1 hour later…
12:10
curious Anyone knows a sane tool for certificate generation? The openssl CLI is completely retarded.
12:23
@TerryChia the Windows tools are decent enough, but then you're not sane enough to consider that sane.
@AviD Can it generate certs with uncommon subjectAltName extensions? (SRV-ID, ipAddress etc)
hmm, dunno
probably
maybe
@AviD I'm actually betting no, because they are very uncommon extensions that no one uses.
But because they are in the fucking specs I need to generate a cert to test against. :(
so's linux.

5 hours later…
17:12
you'd think some companies don't want to take your money. Latest case, a software co. that doesn't take Paypal, only CC on their Classic ASP using IIS6 hosted site
hmmmm no
anyone who can't get round to re-writing their site once a decade isn't someone I want to give my CC to...
17:55
Blasted Vista. Won't even boot in safe mode.
@RоryMcCune That's awesome.

5 hours later…

Evening all
thought I'd share this as I'm very proud:
Yay - we don't onebox facebook vids
NSFW audio (well, the chorus is)
trying to see whether we can get Greenpeace to use it...
23:15
@RoryAlsop Catchy song... "fossil burning" huh? Lyrics credit @Kalina? Joking :)))
@RoryAlsop Burn Your Planet?
choon
favourite track on the album ^^
@RoryAlsop git yer arses to Camden! I'd love to come to a gig.
@Polynomial we definitely will. Speaking to two promoters who saw us in Nottingham and want to get us to Lahndahn
@RoryAlsop Niiiiiiiice.
@RoryAlsop How was the venue?
Next month we've god Hard Rock Cafe, Glasgow, Bannermans in Edinburgh, Moorings in Aberdeen for Halloween, and somewhere in Inverness the day after
@Polynomial It brought back my teenage years (I used to go clubbing there in the late eighties)
:-)
@Polynomial superb
Great gig - because literally everyone knew us, had been wanting to see us for years, and just came along wanting a good time
sweeeeet
you should set up a Dundee gig to coincide with Securi-Tay ;]
23:30
@Polynomial ^ yes
I suggest that out of wholly selfish reasons.
We haven't yet played a dundee gig, and despite 3 possibles, we have not yet actually played at a security con
this must change
I wanna see security talks, get fuckface drunk on cheep Scottish booze, and get delightfully deafened by you guys.
want me to put you in touch with the guy organising securi-tay?
@Polynomial That would be really cool
he just finished his internship with us, so we're a core sponsor :D
23:31
nice!
gawd - I suppose I really should go to bed. 900 miles driven this weekend, 40 miles sailed, and 500 fans rocked! :-)
the 'back to normal' comedown is nigh
hehe
yeah, I should crash too
