@LucasKauffman 10/10

9 hours later…
09:07
Oi @AviD, LinkedIn told me to congratulate you.
09:35
@TerryChia what did he do?
09:52
@LucasKauffman 5 years in OWASP which LinkedIn counts as a job for some reason.
I c
so anyone got wild plans for the weekend?
10:30
@LucasKauffman sleeping.
@Polynomial thats not wild
@LucasKauffman He never said where he will be sleeping at. ;)
@TerryChia :O
@LucasKauffman It is if you're an insomniac.
10:38
@TerryChia In my bed. Probably with the dog, if he gets his way.
to be fair, watching him dig in the bed is pretty funny.
@Polynomial resisting urge to comment
@TerryChia harr harr
@Polynomial you have it periodically or constant?
@LucasKauffman I... what?
@Polynomial insomnia
10:44
@LucasKauffman oh, right. I used to get it incredibly bad, with up to 4-5 days not sleeping at my worst points. now it comes back a little bit a couple times a year, but nowhere near as bad.
@Polynomial how did you resolve it?
@LucasKauffman I didn't, really. It just stopped happening as much or as bad as time went on. I wish I knew of a miracle cure.
@Polynomial ah I see
@LucasKauffman The only advice I can give is that you should at least try to sleep, and avoid thoughts of "bah I'm never gonna sleep tonight". Find a quiet, dark, comfortable spot and chill out. One drink of alcohol helps, but more can be a hindrance.
unfortunately the herbal remedies don't work for me, and chemical ones just make me feel shitty
there are probably hundreds of different cures and tricks that people have come up with over the years, you just have to find the right ones.
good to know
11:05
@Polynomial Way more can help. Although that's really more "passing out" than "sleeping".
@TerryChia Yeah, but then you don't get natural sleep, which means you still don't function properly in the morning.
@TerryChia if you drink way more you're hungover which isnt much better than being sleep deprived I guess
thinking if I should make beer beef stew or black pepper shrimps tonight
@LucasKauffman Why not both? ;)
@TerryChia too lazy to make both
or I can make black pepper beef
problem solved
or beef and shrimp
together
first world problems...
@LucasKauffman Just order a pizza.
11:14
xD
11:32
@TerryChia beef and shrimp pizza sounds pretty awesome actually
@Polynomial Pizza in general is pretty awesome.
then, by extension, I'm pretty awesome. because I'm like 90% pizza at this point.
@Polynomial That's like saying @LucasKauffman's piss is tasty because of all the beer he drinks.
12:30
@TerryChia I do not want to know how you feel qualified to comment about that
@RоryMcCune What? That @LucasKauffman drinks a lot of beer? :P
@TerryChia more the taste of what comes out after he drinks the beer...
@RоryMcCune I'm just saying what @Polynomial said is wrong.
@TerryChia but your analogy implies an experience :op
@RоryMcCune No it does not.
> In the latest filing, however, former FBI agent Christopher Tarbell counters Ulbricht’s defense by describing just how he and another FBI agent located the Silk Road server in June of last year without any sophisticated intrusion: Instead, he says, they found a misconfiguration in an element of the Silk Road login page, which revealed its internet protocol (IP) address and thus its physical location.

As they typed “miscellaneous” strings of characters into the login page’s entry fields, Tarbell writes that they noticed an IP address associated with some data returned by the site didn’t m
Major fail there.

it's also massive bullshit
they obviously obtained it illegally and then came up with a story to make it sound legit
@Polynomial Eh, I won't exactly be surprised if that really was a vulnerability. SR isn't exactly a well secured site from what I have read.
(I'm not commenting on if the FBI made it up, I don't really care.)
yeah, he was asking ridiculous questions on StackOverflow about how to do stuff and posting code that contained SQL injections and all sorts of nasties
was amusing
the guy's a massive tard, but the FBI's handling of the case has been shoddy since day 1.

3 hours later…
15:40
so
It's black pepper beef
16:42
damn my friend just sent me an image in a text saying they're drinking a 1997 3 Fonteynen Geuze :(
17:06
@TerryChia "I just wrote a VB GUI to back trace the IP" do people seriously not get this reference?
/r/silkroad is full of morons anyway

3 hours later…
20:02
@Polynomial lulz

3 hours later…
23:33

The dj at a party I'm attending is seemingly playing the best of the 60s and the 70s
@Polynomial In Soviet Russia, door knocks you!
