Nice to come back and see a big jug of lube.
@ScottPack @Simon was worried about you all afternoon.
01:32
@ScottPack WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?
You have to give me your phone number so I can check on you, Sesus that was stressful.
@Xander Congrats on your best total! What was it?
Jesus*, not Sesus.
Fuck off as a service. foaas.com
02:12
Oh, today was our yearly conference.
I was moderating the Research Data panel
I was twittering
02:36
@ScottPack I'm sure you were.
03:00
Good crowd too. We ended up talking a whole lot about export controls, IP ownership, and confidentiality.

1 hour later…
05:05
@DavidFreitag is that a mailinator clone?

2 hours later…
06:48
SHUT DOOOOWN
IN A BLAZE OF GLORY
<o/ trusted user w00p w00p
@ScottPack you can get real Trappist in the USA, there is a new recognized abbey beer producer in Massachusets that will get the label :p
@LucasKauffman gratz
@LucasKauffman I still don't trust you though.
Something about that llama.....
07:04
I've noticed that since @kalina has been around, our chat output has risen quite a lot.
as in, more than doubled.
07:16
@ScottPack OS X free upgrade today.
07:41
btw @Simon @DavidFreitag @kalina - Yes. I do see all.
but you missed the biggest problem with that scene from swordfish - "hacking" the NSA should consist of a little more than trying a manual bruteforce with a handful of passwords.
Not that it wouldnt probably work, mind you, but that is not what a super-elite "hacker" is needed for.
07:56
Can you guys hit this URL? ctf.fluxfingers.net/ref/EeobA87e2J9PnOd
@TerryChia ooh, sounds fishy.
Are you sure that message was from you? It seems spoofed.
@AviD Heh.
We get points for hitting that URL from different IP's in different countries.

Q: Is bugged CPU mean "gameover" for whole Computer?

polar bear on the white snowI'm looking for answer on such question. Imagine that CPU bugged on the factory simply like Blue Pill, but for the network's interconnections. How exactly firewall of OS could protect station against Hardware Trojan Horse intercommunication? E.g. iptables blocks any new incoming packet. iptabl...

Please tell me I didn't just suffer a stroke! This is utter gibberish, right?
@TildalWave Any time to hit the CTF?
08:34
@AviD I have this effect
@TildalWave this looks pretty gibberish to me
morning @Manish
@TerryChia I got 3 countries to try
trying NY
Location already registered
france
Location already registered
hmm
09:08
@adnan what's wrong with my answer?
nvm my bad ^^
09:27
@LucasKauffman Which answer?
@Lucas Okay, your newest answer seems to be the USB driver one. Hmmm, I don't know, nothing really wrong with it.
I wouldn't upvote it, to be honest. But it's good enough not be downvoted.
If I didn't hate counter-voting (as you already know), I'd happily upvote it.
@Lucas Also, you're "accusing" the OP of downovting your answer. As you can see, he only has 35 rep, so he's unable to downvote you (unless he has a sockpuppet).
@Adnan I think he was jumping to conclusions and accusing you of the downvote. :P Hence the "nvm, my bad^^"
@TerryChia Well, that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about this:
@vabojuninho so can you elaborate on what is wrong my answer, considering you downvoted it? — Lucas Kauffman 19 mins ago
@Adnan Ahhh.
@TerryChia It seems that today @Lucas is throwing downvote accusations left and right.
@Adnan He's abusing his trusted user status. Damn that @LucasKauffman!
finds 16 questions to downvote
09:35
aha
A case usually associated with sever decline in the quantity and/or quality of coitus.
@TerryChia Oh wait! Now we have to trust him? Damn!
@Adnan So there won't be a problem for you considering you can't decline below 0
D:
@LucasKauffman I hate to disappoint you, but while that case doesn't apply to me, it is possible to decline below 0. Just ask @Simon
@Adnan I'll downvote 8, you downvote 8.
Maybe that won't trigger the serial downvoting script.
CONSPIRACY AGAINST ME
09:38
@TerryChia No, it won't. Alright, let's do it.
@Adnan Let's find questions he answered that has been closed and vote to delete them. That will take a nice chunk out of his rep.
@Terry @Lucas Done
He's not trusted anymore
@Adnan HAH!
Okay, reversed.
omai
@Lucas Kauffman : sire ; firstly , i didn't downvoted your answer and secondly.., i want to know exactly that can i manipulate the info of usb storage drive and bind codes with that...., fo example i want a 8 Gib pendrive to display 4 Gib pendrive in my boss's computer and in the remaining 4 Gib i can fetch cinfidential data secretely — vabo juninho 4 mins ago
i want a 8 Gib pendrive to display 4 Gib pendrive in my boss's computer and in the remaining 4 Gib i can fetch cinfidential data secrete
09:43
@LucasKauffman Brilliant plan!
@LucasKauffman He should ask those scammers from China.
@LucasKauffman there are drives like that fwiw
where you run a program to "unlock" half
hi
did I just scare off @ManishEarth?
@LucasKauffman is it possible...?
@vabojuninho It is possible to do those things
yes
you would need to build custom firmware
09:55
@LucasKauffman and how to change the drive info
:O
He's here!
Who brought him?
@vabojuninho ...building custom firmware
Or, well, format it as ext4 and use a Linux box
@Adnan who's here?!?!? where? where?
hmm
@UV-D nah, busy
There is loads if evil stuff possible with USB. Things that looks like memory sticks, but simulates mouse or keyboard...
10:05
yeah. Not too hard to make from a tinyduino
@ManishEarth tinyduino .....?
It's a type of arduino
A small one
Arduinos are USB slave devices, and there are mouse/keyboard libraries out there
@ManishEarth no worries, will leave you be
10:06
Pretty easy to use one and give it random output. Tinyduino because you can then package it like a pen drive
@ManishEarth how to work on arduino
@vabojuninho you wouldn't be able to make your usb drive on a *duino anyway
not much storage capacity
unless you use one with an sdcard shield, then it gets big
i didn't get it.., how much storage capacity needs to make usb drive on arduino
Arduinos have hardly any storage capacity
You can attatch SDcard shields to them, but they become big
again, an arduino is *not* the solution for you
I mentioned one in connection with @CodesInChaos' comment
as for your situation, format half the drive as ext4 and install one of those Windows programs that lets one read ext4
@ManishEarth sir i've tried to manipulate Autorun.inf
10:13
That won't do anything
autorun has nothing to do with the drive itself, it just specifies how the drive behaves once it has been noticed
@ManishEarth 1 Q is there; what is write protection in usb mass storage media ?
Usually a hardware switch that lets one disable writing onto the drive (the drive becomes readonly)
then how to get rid of that
sometimes its a glitch. Google it
it wasted my 8 Gib sony new
10:22
okaaaay.... time to start that 3-week project. That needs to be finished. Today.
yaaaaaaay.
@AviD haha
@ManishEarth i'm going to install arduino....,
facepalm
why? why?
And you can't install arduino
headdesk
An arduino is a device.
19 mins ago, by ManishEarth
again, an arduino is *not* the solution for you
@ManishEarth cuz it rhymes with his last name!
@ManishEarth kkk.,., sry
10:33
21 mins ago, by ManishEarth
as for your situation, format half the drive as ext4 and install one of those Windows programs that lets one read ext4
do that ^
mornin' all. (Afternoon @AviD and @Terry)
@RoryAlsop oh lordy, is it really afternoon already??
it is for you, right?
ayup
11:08
@RoryAlsop It's night here actually.
@TerryChia Racist bastard.
@AviD I'll agree to bastard but not racist.
11:29
@vabojuninho rebuild the firmware
