You can attatch SDcard shields to them, but they become big

again, an arduino is *not* the solution for you

as for your situation, format half the drive as ext4 and install one of those Windows programs that lets one read ext4

That won't do anything

autorun has nothing to do with the drive itself, it just specifies how the drive behaves once it has been noticed
