@JeffFerland I've got a buddy at Akamai in Boston. You want me to ask him about openings?

@ScottPack Yes, please do.

"Don't use your fingers. Take your spoon, and put it in your mouth." is not exactly something I expected to say so regularly.

I hate openid
This chat room recognizes my stackexchange account, but security.stachexchange.com doesn't
wtf?
11:57
@Tex That is weird. I usually have more trouble with chat recognizing my login session than any of the main sites.

Do we have a FAQ somewhere about malware terminology yet?

...is anyone alive in here?
@Iszi I am (or so I believe)
Je suis mort.
@JeffFerland Pas de chance.

A: Is the argument really over on SSO?

Jeff FerlandTwo views: Corporate: Whether you have control over all the machines, or at least the central auth server, you're better off with SSO. One place to hire employees, one place to terminate them, one set of credentials they have to worry about. Individual server compromises shouldn't leak credenti...

@Iszi Convince @Jeff to publish a short summary as an edit to his answer, once the debate is over ?

Q: How do I control what page is opened when I create a new window in Firefox?

IsziCurrently, I have Firefox configured so that my home page loads a few websites in multiple tabs at once on startup. @scott-pack It's usually not a problem, but when it is, it's annoying. I can never remember which ID I originally used to sign up to StackOverflow all those years ago

I wish the SE "active questions" page indicated what kind of change happened on each question. When I see @AviD change a slew all at once I can guess that it is retagging, but I'd like to know, so I don't miss new answers (or accepted answers)
@nealmcb I wish the view defaulted to "newest" - or that the setting was per-user.

Quiet in here. Everybody take the day off or something?
@Iszi Maybe everybody took the day on, rather.
Sometimes work has to take precedence.
@ThomasPornin Well, I never...
;-)

I'm sorry, @ThomasPornin, I'm not quite sure I follow. I'm a state worker.

@ScottPack What state? Inactive?

@nealmcb Sounds like you've met civil servants :)
