@TheLittleNaruto I read somewhere that certain mantras are only effective if you are part of a mandala(sp?) or in other words initiated . Can someone point out which texts mention this requirement .
 
@Carmensandiego yeah! Mostly tantrik initiations
@Carmensandiego Since it is a secret doctrine, One is only eligible to receive mantra when they are part of mandala.
One is not supposed to reveal the practices to others outside the mandala.
