Q: Does rAmAyaNa mention women chanting vedic mantras?

Rakesh JoshiIn some place I read that the queens KaushalyA and kaikeyi are mentioned chanting vedic mantras. For example they chanted when lord Rama and his brothers were born. Also Sri Kaushalya used to offer oblations to Agnihotra fire when king Dasharatha was away. I am looking for such references from ...

Q: What were the boons given by Goddess Durga to prince Yudhishthira?

Uday KrishnaIt is understood that during the exile period of the Pandavas, prince Yudhishthira did meditation and invoked the blessings of Goddess Durga. @NogShine yeah...but Riddhi, Siddhi are mentioned in most of the sources...
04:36
@YDS well, majority is not the matter here. Even in that sense, Siddhi Buddhi are popular consorts in South India than Vriddi. We can't rule out edit like that.
@YDS Btw, have you considered reading my answer to your meta question and voting on it?

@NogShine No bro. I am really busy now a days because of office work and clan wars.

@YDS Others are for copy paste which is not the correct thing.
You can decide what to follow.
I said what I have to say. A wrong done by a mod or someone with high rep doesn't mean it is a right.

YDS
@NogShine yeah...u r right... (Y)
@YDS I added what I think and it is inline with the most agreed and helpful discussions of Hinduism meta and Stack Exchange. Others may or may not be aware of it. But they still post answers, comments etc., as such. But from now on, do not wait for someone to post a comment like that or downvote. If you have found somehting wrong, you do it by yourself. Don't think what others will think.
You read all the links I posted too? That would take hours to read.
And I missed many more links to Q&A.

There's no such thing as "official" moderator guidance... heck, I'm not even sure there's such a thing as "official" CM guidance...
and the person who posted is a long time user of various SE sites and mod on two sites. She spoke it in the presence of bunch of CMs. So, you need not to take a word or a comment of some mod as offical just because they are a mod. Look at the content.
YDS
YDS
Hmmm..okay @NogShine
Bdw u can remove those comments..from my answer...
@YDS I will remove them later but I am not sure why an answer saying no explanation required is getting dv. "Users are more authoritative than scriptures"... etc., we are talking about quality here.
> This would mean the user has more authority than scripture.
We are not talking about scriptures. It is about copy pasting. Let it be scripture or something, we should try to explain. If there is scripture already and understand it, why would I ask here?
@YDS If you can stop thinking like "I don't see anyone raising a concern like why they copy pasted instead of giving the link in comment or so as raised in my answer.", I will remove them.

@TheLittleNaruto I am talking about meta guidelines and you are talking about main answers. Yes, it is a copy paste.
@TheLittleNaruto I will say the same.. I don't work for SO
@TheLittleNaruto You can ask him to paraphrase or summarise or whatever you like to call.
and search for all users answers and don't hunt one user's profile.
So far, I only saw your criticism on selected people.
@TheLittleNaruto and the question is whether Chaitanya Mahaprabhu met. The answer is Yes. There is a statement Yes and where the location is also given. It is not a copy paste when look closely.
If you want some more content, you can request from the user.

@KeshavSrinivasan Some users want some explanation for your answer about Chaitanya Mahaprabhu meeting Parashurama. You might want to add one or two sentences.
@TheLittleNaruto ^

@NogShine The message of yours I replied to was including Mod. That's why I added.
@NogShine You don't have to say that just because I pointed that out.
@NogShine Again don't misinterpret everytime like you do.
@NogShine Because I keep seeing criticism-able activities on some people posts only.
@NogShine Also I don't understand whenever I criticize(which is valid), you come forward and start defending that user. God only knows why you do that.
Anyway please don't discuss further. I would like to avoid discussion on this.

I always do that when I find a question is wrongly closed or reopened. But people only see when the OP is Keshav Srinivasan
@TheLittleNaruto Well, the user won't know if we discuss among ourselves. They will know if the issue is taken into their notice. You should have directly ping Keshav.
@SwiftPushkar Thanks. I added it as separate answer to increase the answer ratio!
@TheLittleNaruto It is all who misinterpret that I defend Keshav all the time. You are nth user who said it.
@TheLittleNaruto That's what I say, see all user's posts and point out everyone.
@ElectricRouge Hi.
@TheLittleNaruto I don't see validity in the criticism. That is why I come forward. Remember this. I only come forward when I see no valid criticism and criticism for name sake. Now you also know it. Am I clear now?
@Pandya Hi
08:55
And to that anonymous starrer too ^^
@ElectricRouge wassup?
09:54
@NogShine Just because you don't see validity in criticism, it doesn't mean it's not valid.
@TheLittleNaruto How does it become valid then?
I speak because I see invalid criticism and not because of the user.
TBH discussing with you is pointless, because if it's about a specific user you'll come up n number of counter argument which is completely nonsense.
n+1 th time
09:57
But it's okay, I don't care anymore. However I was supporting your meta post.
I'll take my step back.
It is only this site chat users who say it is pointless, futile etc., . to chat. Most of the times, it is when they can't answer more or can't reply properly and lost their cool. Else where, everything is fine.
Did you understand why I come forward or should I add it to my profile?
Whatever you want to do, please do it. You don't need to know whether I understand or not.
I don't give a thing if one understands or not. I know why I do. If someone can't understand it, it is not my problem.
10:03
Why to ask at first place then ? :)
But all the people were in some place when I talked against Keshav and supported other mods. This puzzles me.
@TheLittleNaruto I thought you were different but you proved me wrong.
Well I'll always support Pandya and TheDestroyer.
Some people understand when said. Some don't.
Both of them are doing really good.
@TheLittleNaruto I don't support anyone because of the user. My support, criticism etc., vary based on what they say. I don't support or oppose any mod blindly.
10:06
@NogShine I can see that.
There are many things you didn't see and can't see too.
There are complaints against them too. But they didn't get much hype.
Read this ^
I know that.
It is Peyazhwar and Tirumozhishai azhwar story. I don't think you know that story. Do you?
What you don't understand is, "he shouldn't have added this line."
these words sound like missionaries people
He is making no difference by saying that.
@TheLittleNaruto That is the main theme of the answer. It is Peyazhwar who is a staunch devotee of Vishnu talking to Tirumozhishai azhwar and explains why worshipping Shiva as supreme is not right. There was a huge discussion about that and at last, Tirumozhishai azhwar was convinced and turned into a Vaishnavite. That is the story.
An Alwar who said that would never say that Venkateshwara is a blend of Shiva and Vishnu. Without knowing the backstories about the azhwars and others, you should not comment.
10:16
You're missing the point
I am not saying anything against story
What am I missing here?
But "the words" he chose is really unacceptable at least to me.
These are not Keshav's words.
It's not just one time
What is unacceptable?
10:18
Got some work to finish.
Please don't discuss about it any further.
Tirumozhishai alwar was a Shaivite and wrote poems on Shiva too but Peyalwar came to know about him and turned him into Vaishnavite. This is the story. It is the truth. This is what happened.
It is not like missionary thing and don't always bring "missionary" reference here. It is not good.
You need to know the story and background first before coming to conclusion.
Oh Man! You don;'t want to stop, do you ?
I don't want to leave you in a misconception.
You won't be able to from now on.
Okay. You should not oppose someone for wrong reasons. It is good that you have shared that screenshot you took.

Choiceless awareness is posited in philosophy, psychology, and spirituality to be the state of unpremeditated, complete awareness of the present without preference, effort, or compulsion. The term was popularized in mid-20th century by Jiddu Krishnamurti, in whose philosophy it signifies a main theme. Similar or related concepts had been previously developed in several religious or spiritual traditions; the term or others like it has also been used to describe traditional and contemporary secular and religious meditation practices. By early 21st century, choiceless awareness as a concept or term...
