Oddly enough I can unlock from another windows with a SATA > USB adapter.
I can see everything but my Users > Myaccount folder
what an odd evening

@A.Hersean The first SAW was actually really clever, given that it had an extremely small budget in comparison to other movies. As such, the movie actually started with the question "How can we make a movie which plays mostly in one location?"

Hey everyone; I just wanted to say this: Have a great week! & take care. //Will

@WilliamMartens You too, Will!

that would be a funny thing...

Who would be the authority on that?
(I can already hear Rory sigh and shake his head in disapproval)

5:31 PM
@MechMK1 ... c'mon. You are just trying to provoke.

6:26 PM
no, he has a point...
I saw a man on the Netherlands that "identified himself as 40 years younger" and fought the government for that right
If my gender is not defined by my genes anymore and I can choose whatever I want, why does my age have anything to do with the day I was born?

@RoryAlsop You say that because you know me, and can make an educated guess. But what about a total stranger? How can you with 100% confidence say that the pronouns they choose for themselves are "valid" in some way or not?
To say some self-chosen pronouns are valid and some are not implies that there must be some process through which valid pronouns can be told apart from invalid ones.
And we already had an FAQ on the topic last winter, and it said the following:
79
A: What does the Code of Conduct say about pronouns?

CatijaWhat's this all about? - Implementation This section focuses on guiding you on how to use these pronouns correctly. 1. Does this mean that I will be in trouble if I ever get someone's pronouns wrong? No. It's fine to make an honest mistake - but once you are directly informed of what someone w...

Section 8 says if someone is using "obscene" pronouns, they should be flagged. But does that make these pronouns invalid?
From what I have gathered, stated pronouns should allow a person to express themselves how they identify and how they "see themselves".
What if I see myself as an obscene person and want to express myself in such a way?
I assume it would mean I would be rejected from Stack Exchange because my preferred pronouns would not fit with the other sections of the CoC, specifically the "Be nice" part.
And as for the question about whether or not I am trying to provoke: Yes, I am. I am trying to provoke, because this is the system I am told I have to accept now. And as such, I want to know how that system works and how I am allowed to act within that system.
It seems to me that "We have to choose sensible things" and "We have to accept what people choose based alone on the merit that they have chosen it for themselves" seem to be contradictory values.

"Accept everyone as they are" and "You are rude and this is unacceptable" are contradictory

the "right to not be offended" and "free speech" cannot exist at the same time. If I cannot be offended, someone who would offend me must be silenced

I never knew we had a right to not be offended.

and if I have free speech, something I say will surely offend someone

Who defines what is offensive? I've seen people with eating disorders being grossly offended by depictions of food. Does that mean posts on Seasoned Advice need to be censored?

yes, there is such a thing, it's the unintended consequence as not calling a guy "he" because it will offend the guy because he identifies as a girl

8:31 PM
What if I ask a bad question and schoeder closes it, saying I could have googled that? What if that offends me?

too bad for you, white male...

I don't identify as white male.
And I find your assertion that I am white and/or male to be highly offensive.
Your transgression has already been reported to the autorities.

I would say you were overly sensitive, but in some places, closing the question from someone will be considered offensive

Suggesting that someone is overly sensitive only normalizes microaggressions. All emotions are valid.

and that's the start of the problem again: what is considered offensive? and from which point of view? the majority, or the minority?
will everyone have to stop eating pork because I find that disgusting? will the entire internet stop hosting porn sites because Iran bans it?
will everyone stop talking about free health care because the US thinks that's communism?

8:35 PM
Reminds me of a woman who said "My attractiveness is not defined by my sexual history."

Au contraire, mon Chéri! Your attractiveness is exclusively defined by others, and you cannot influence what they value. If others consider your sexual history to be very important to your overall attractiveness, then it does indeed define it.

that's a good point...
a skinny girl is seem as sexy on France, but as ugly in Etiopia...

Not just that, it depends on each individual person.
What is attractive to me may not be attractive to you, and vice versa.

and a blonde pearl white girl in Sweden is a common thing, not so down here

But, it is never up to the person in question. They cannot dictate whether or not they are attractive, or whether or not I value certain things.

that's were the Greek idea of "norm" gets into play... Normal is what the majority are doing, no matter if good or bad, if you agree or not... the majority is doing, thinking or eating, it's normal.

8:38 PM
For example, I find intelligence and self-confidence to be highly attractive. If a woman would try to convince me that being unintelligent and having low self-confidence is highly attractive, her attempt would fail miserably.
Sure, you could say that there is a certain idea of what is "commonly attractive", but even that cannot be dictated by an individual.
If I would say "women with 3 eyes are now the ideal women", others would most likely disagree with me.
But even the "majority" is just statistics. And as we know, statistics say nothing about an individual. If 90% of men find one specific characteristic to be attractive in women, it says absolutely nothing about whether or not I find that characteristic to be attractive.
And most certainly, a woman saying "This characteristic plays no role in whether or not I am attractive" is like writing "apple" all over a banana. Sure you can, but nobody really cares and you're just wasting your time.

that's why most cars down here are silver, white or black... most people don't want those but they are easier to sell, so everyone buys those even if they don't like them at all...

It's understandable. While it may not be the perfect colour, it's probably not a dealbreaker for most.
Every day I go on a walk, and I see a car in just the ugliest grey with a hint of brown. Sure, might be the dream car for one person, but 9 others will be like "Please burn it down, I'll pay you for it"
I wouldn't mind a white car. Looks alright and is certainly better than a black car in summer.
So, I got to go to sleep. I need to be a productive member of society and shitpost on the internet for 8 hours pentest a web application tomorrow.

have a good rest
I have to resurrect a server I worked on 3 years ago...

@ThoriumBR at least you didn't have to write a custom Python driven StartTLS-capable SMTP server handler that's async recently
had to do some headbashing at aiosmtpd to make such a thing exist/work

a what?
and why perl? woudn't socat work?

8:55 PM
@ThoriumBR ask [my bosses xD

CGNAT... how I hate the guy who invented that...

they like python

my ISP uses cgnat, udp works like I am in 1999 with a softmodem, so webex/teams/skype are impossible to use, and even the basic windows vpn (pptp) won't work
I am fighting them to give me a real IP, and it costs about 100% more than what I currently pay
and there's only one other ISP that can provide me connectivity here, and they use the exact same cgnat... and ask the exact same price for a real IP

you do realize IPv4 is exhausted yes, so IPs themselves are expensive as heck?
:P

I do.. but ipv6 is already a thing...
instead of giving ipv4 to everyone and using encapsulation isp-side to access the ipv6 sites, why not give everyone ipv6 addresses and use nat only for the services unreachable under ipv6?
every service that my job depends on already have ipv6... webex, teams, skype, zoom, google meet, vpn providers, box, google, aws, azure...
