@MickLH that's you right, you're not being a self-confessed troll are you?
@RоryMcCune Just because I used the reply tool to select you doesn't mean I was necessarily replying to that message!
@MickLH you know that's exactly what that feature is for... right, to reply to a specific message
@RоryMcCune I am aware, but you can totally hack it to use 2 clicks in place of several keystrokes, one of them modified even. It's so much easier if you haven't made the mouse->keyboard hand transition yet in that moment
@MickLH kinda ruins the point of message threading in the room though
@RоryMcCune It was only 50m?
That's niiiiice
22:04
@MarkBuffalo yeah around that mark, it was low budget, I think, 'cause Fox weren't sure if it was gonna be a hit
how they didn't see it coming I have no idea
Ryan Reynolds was born for this part
and lots of people are tired of goodie goodie Marvel movies where the hero's are all hero'y all the time
Deadpool is a nutjob
I mean for fricks sake in age of ultron they were going around saving individual people instead of trying to stop an explosion that would wipe out the whole planet
just to rub in the "we are the good guys" trope
I think Deadpool is a refreshing change of pace for the marvel universe
variety.com/2016/film/box-office/deadpool-box-office-1201705937 <-- yeah $135mill open on a $58mill budget
chance of a sequel > 90% I'd say
Can we get a plot of this function?
Not this specific movie, but just a general plot of Pr(Sequel) in terms of open / budget, a plot line for each order of magnitude of budget value
I'd reeeealy enjoy that, kthx
@MickLH who are you that are not typing like we're typing?
or...
Is that corn?
22:17
banana I think
Well I take optimization seriously, it doesn't matter if typing is faster when I need to buy a context switch which costs just as much as (or more than) the time I save using shortcut keys. I have an FPS gaming mouse hand so the cost function is often competitive.
well, I prescribe to the type of people that take their time enjoying things like a morning coffee, sex, or the DMZ... but sure, optimize if you want
God I'm soo cold
@DavidFreitag What's the temperature? Can you still read it?
@TildalWave Actually it's not that cold out I'm just sleep deprived
This weekend it hit -40°C
22:25
@TildalWave pls, this is clearly @RоryMcCune
But it's still a balmy -15°C
In fact, whenever I mention him in my answers, I post this picture
@MarkBuffalo clearly :)
@DavidFreitag fowk me!
@DavidFreitag It's like 30F here
Sucks to be your entire facial region right now.
I remember @Simon saying it'll hit -40 but that's like within the polar circle
22:26
@TildalWave 30kph sustained winds with gusts past 40kph
Mother nature: LOL internal body temperature
@DavidFreitag so basically, if you tried to piss outside your ween falls off
@TildalWave Yeah, and you get hit in the face with icicles
@TildalWave It's ironic that you say this, I've optimized this routine down to booting up my computer, skipping the coffee and taking amphetamine during the morning sex so that I can hit the ground running without using an extra second!
yet you took the time to reply to me ... I'm flattered
Are there legal non-prescription amphetamines?
22:28
@TildalWave Well my other option is to work...
Probably not.
(Which has me procrastinating anyways)
@DavidFreitag Does over the pharmacy counter count? :P
great. another frigging drug addict in the DMZ
@MarkBuffalo s/drug addict/insomniac
@DavidFreitag Not you. I mean @MickLH
22:30
@MickLH you know that when they told you to count your seconds when you were growing up, they meant food not time, right? :P
@MarkBuffalo I hope you're joking
I mean, sure you can shame me for reluctantly taking my prescribed medication which allows me to be a productive member of society, but that honestly would make you a jerk.
Waaaaaaaay to go @MarkBuffalo
Wow, I'm a diiiiiiiiiiiick
3
Why did you star that?
Dammit.
Wasn't me! see :P
22:33
Are you shitting me?
@MarkBuffalo dude you're in the DMZ... any form of self-flagellation is encouraged here
we also agree with your statement :D
Oooh @MarkBuffalo is self-flagellating? I'll get the popcorn!
(just being supportive)
for your amusement (unless he's already posted here, I haven't checked)

@Gilles Oh my goody two-shoes. What the flying heck
At least point him in the right direction... it takes a lot of guts to ask a question that stupid.
22:36
> Step 1: Learn english.
Step 2: Get a life.
Step 3: ???
Point his employers towards a real pentesting service...
@DavidFreitag profit? Hmmm
@Gilles No, trust me simply knowing English does not guarantee monies
I know this from first-hand experience.
@DavidFreitag maybe you failed step 2?
@Gilles No, my Step 2 was a bit different
22:40
My step 2 was that step 1, with step 3 to reconsider step 2
Oh my goodness... this user is being paid to pentest?
You have to be pony kidding me
Is it better than my Razer chroma keyboard
Reviews seem to indicate it's on par or better
Is it better than my generic PS/2 keyboard from the 90s?
22:42
Hmmm
> 104 key rollover
Also it's about half the price of a Razer
I do like the clicky. The Razer does remind me of my old IBM ps/2 keyboard
Requires some strange sign up with loads of personal info so I can't see it
22:46
$70
Much cheaper than the v Razer then
It's a Thermaltake Poseidon
Also that ^ $80
@RoryAlsop an online store behind a brick wall LOL
I don't buy stuff online
NSA SCI's all my shit
I have other reasons but yeah I try to buy local when I can
tho that might be online actually
22:56
Last time I bought Candy online, the NSA put cameras in it so they could see what's inside me
I started avoiding online only shops tho, basically as soon as things started going south
@MarkBuffalo Well that's your fault for putting the candy in your butt.
@DavidFreitag Well, their report said, "He's full of shit."
Think my Razer was £150 or something
22:57
Apparently miles better than the razer boards
my current keyboard was 10€ ... had quite many expensive ones, I'm not going back
I have a $7 keyboard
I'm way too clumsy :)
and it has a hardware keylogger feature in it
Tried one of the cherry ones. Not my thing. Tried cheap keyboards. Definitely not my thing.
22:59
installed by @RoraΖ
@RoryAlsop Yeah, I love mechanical keyboards
Proper clicky
Cherry kinda invented mechanical keyboards no?
OK, maybe not invented
Dunno. They seem too soft for old fogeys
there's like 20 different key mechanisms to select from
Oh. I've only tried the one. Because a friend had it
23:01
mostly you'd see the five but there's also more specialized ones, really loads of them
try to check some of their booths at fairs, they'd have a huge crystal bowl with all kinds of clickety fun for takeaway samples
I don't think we get that kinds of fair :-(
no? well travel to Germany then, or if you're in my stretch of the woods,...
some of them are described there
@TildalWave sigh - where's @Simon when you need him
@schroeder why?
23:10
@TildalWave because I'd only bring down the class of the room if I responded the way I wanted to
@TildalWave Simon could get away with it
@schroeder this room has class?
@TildalWave You're a stretch of the woods
You're welcome, @schroeder
@MarkBuffalo thanks - that was going to bug me all day
@schroeder only because no sane person would ever wanna go where he's hiding
@schroeder Good thing me cracking penis jokes doesn't affect the class of this room.
23:12
@DavidFreitag You're a penis joke
@MarkBuffalo Actually... I am :[
@schroeder You forgot to apologize! What kind of a Canadian are you?
@DavidFreitag :[
he gets a diamond and a hat and all the courtesy goes down the drain
23:16
@TildalWave sorry
@TildalWave I'm moving to Scotland, and already I'm changing
@schroeder So you took that offer? Noice!
and sorry Scotland, I didn't mean to suggest you were in any way less than Canada
@TildalWave yep!
Edinburgh
less snow, moar pasties!
now I need to ditch all the things I own that have a plug, and buy a new car
and find a good supplier of meat (hopefully lamb) in the quantities I want
just the thought of moving to a place where I can't bring a microwave and a toaster is weird
that shouldn't be too difficult
23:22
I have moved a lot, but there are a handful of things I rely on
just don't expect to find horse meat, apparently it's not something consumed in UK
have you already arranged to meet with Roros?
no arrangements, but an expectation
I owe a few rounds :)
@TildalWave lit is occasionally - Tescos got in a bit of trouble for it :-)
