also, don't assume just because you get an answer the first time you ask, that it means it is ok. Most people are generally helpful and will humor the occasional random question, but don't like being flooded with them. If it's a topic they are genuinely interested in, then it's less likely to be a problem though. (Hence the advice about keeping what the topics groups are based around in mind)
