@ScottS I can't tell you anything about coffee, but my wife was a dental hygienist and is all about the sugar alternatives. If I recall, the problem with stevia is only that it's harder to compare with sugar due to its concentration.
the best one is actually Xylitol - it's like sugar which actually heals your teeth. Wonderful stuff. It's interesting when you start trying cheesecakes and things used with that as a substitute - still a great sweetener, but the subtly different taste to sugar is actually rather refreshing.
plus, it's basically 1:1 dosage compared to sugar in recipes, so way easier to work with :)
oh, except it really hates sugars. It kills them. Including yeasts. So we can't bake with it. lol.

@SteveTaylor Interesting, never heard of that in anything other than chewing gum. From ξύλον -- presumably derived from one of those?
@SteveTaylor That's kind of a bizarre line. Yeasts are sugars? And sugars die? My categories are getting all confused.
Oh, I think xylitol is an non-fermentable sugar alcohol. So it interferes with the process of yeast fermenting regular sugar, i.e. making bread rise.

@Dɑvïd Do you know of a verse in the Greek New Testament which is also an pangram?

@PaulVargas Matthew 5:30 and Revelation 2:10 according to this. I've got the Hebrew Bible ones (consonants only), although that link also gives a hint for Hebrew, too. Why? Just curiosity?

@Dɑvïd Yup. Well, the idea came to my mind. I was running some tests on a web page. And there was a text field. I tried with this pangram.
