@JoeW The issue is twofold: a) this description doesn't reflect reality (there are any number of works that depict women as wielding power over men - for example, pretty well any television commercial nowadays that depicts a heterosexual household); b) simply depicting such a fantasy world isn't the objection - the objection is to the implied, false claims regarding the actual state of the world.
Most of the examples of media that you would consider as "having men in power" are at most doing so incidentally, by attempting to depict e.g. a realistic board of directors, hall of government etc. But "power" is vastly broader than these institutions. But even then, such depictions are essentially never for a political statement; it is not the author's goal to assert that patriarchy is correct. The reverse cannot be said for feminist-inspired works.

@KarlKnechtel This reply shows the depth of the problem, trying to compare commercials that show men and women as having equal power as to women being in complete control. The fact remains that there are people who want to keep it so that men are in complete control and women have no power and are afraid of anything that says anything different

@JoeW No, I didn't make nor attempt any such comparison. I didn't say anything about "commercials that show men and women as having equal power". Obviously I would not compare such to "women being in complete control". But commercials clearly do depict women wielding power over men (not the same thing as "being in complete control") - all the time.
It is considered socially acceptable for the man to be the butt of the joke in a commercial - like "the man is incompetent, that's the joke!". It is not considered acceptable for a woman to be portrayed that way. This inequality is the problem.
" The fact remains that there are people who want to keep it so that men are in complete control and women have no power and are afraid of anything that says anything different" - no, there are not, and that anyway certainly isn't evidenced by anything I said.
Like seriously, this is common knowledge, evidenced by simply observing the world. duckduckgo.com/?q=commercials+showing+men+as+incompetent

@KarlKnechtel Really? You are trying to point to a single scene that is depicted in a commercial that shows women as having power over a single thing to long works of art that show men/women in power? It seems like you are attempting to make something out of nothing in order to criticize a movie that shows something that isn't normally shown.
