A: Which Law Enforcement/Government Agencies Would Be Called to Respond to the Crash-landing of a UFO?

BeholdMaybe you think you're asking a simple question, but the answer is very much anything but simple. We can start by focusing on two paradoxes that must be addressed in order to take on your question. You are essentially asking "who are the secret keepers who operate in secret? And what secret thin...

Hello, and welcome to Worldbuilding. Question: why the FBI? What crime has been committed that warrants the attention of the FBI? The FBI is concerned when people threaten the domestic security of the United States through criminal/terrorist activities. How is object dropping out of the sky indicative of any such threat?
@MichaelK A sudden object dropping out of space is a potential threat to the domestic security, especially if such events happen in the vicinity of towns and cities. The fact it's terrorist or not is not known by this alternate world's inhabitants since the object and crash's cause is basically unknown. But I do hope for the US residents that the FBI and CIA works actively to detect and identify potential threats to their country, even if such the "attack" was "failed".
@Tortliena The FBI or CIA is not called in every time a piece of space junk falls on the US, not even when it is things like Soviet nuclear reactors, as in the cases of Kosmos 954 and Kosmos 1402. Yes, I know they did not fall on the US specifically, this is merely to highlight that non-naturally-occurring stuff falling out of space is a rather mundane event (from a security perspective) and not something that makes everyone call the feds while hollering "the reds are coming!!"
@Tortliena If you want to know more about what US authorities watch for things dropping out of the sky, I can highly recommend this answer.
@MichaelK We know nothing about when it happens, nor do we know whether the U.S. caught it on sky or space radars. Should have it happen just after the 11st september 2001, I'm certain the reaction would be very different. We should stop making assumptions in the querent's stead (and it's the reason I cannot upvote or downvote any answer here).
@Tortliena "We know nothing about when it happens, nor do we know whether the U.S. caught it on sky or space radars." OP knows, meaning that they can decide for themselves whether the answers given fits what they are looking for. And by OPs comments so far, they seem satisfied.

@Michaelk (A) OP doesn't necessarily know, and being happy right now because of unawareness doesn't bring fortune in the future. (B) Querents can be sneakily influenced to do what we want them to do, because we are supposed to be figures of authorities. (C) Stack-exchange serves the other users beyond the querent as a database of quality questions and answers. (D) users should vote for what they have, not what they think the querent has. And voting is central here. If you want to counter-argument please go back in the question's discussion. This is not the place here.
@Tortliena The only ones I see going on and on with counter-arguments are you and @JBH, barging in long after people have already come to a conclusion that satisfied them, and going "Nope, that's no good, because I know nothing". Again: I am out, cheers, and have a Happy Holiday, however you decide to spend it.

@MichaelK A debate is a chain of argument vs counter arguments. Your first comments telling it does not work that way are counter arguments to one's proposal.
The good question here is to ask yourself this : Why do you feel counter-argumenting is bad?
Normally I'd try a "heart-to-heart" talk to discuss the deeper problems in the debate/argument. However, everyone I tried that with before declined because they thought it was a trap. It likely isn't going to work here, either...

@Tortliena To restate: I am out. This turned into a toxic struggle for prestige, and that is utterly ruining my holiday cheer. Hence: I am out, not considering any more said here. It is simply not worth it.
