Conspiracy theory: why are all silicon manufacturers obsessed with the magic number 711?
- More famously 711 occurs in old Motorola HC11 series which had the part number 68HC711, where the 7 stands for memory type (mask PROM in that case).
- Also I'm using quite high volumes of a good old Infineon smart high side driver named BTS711.
- There's various microphones and power amps named 711.
- Also some Wago terminal is named 711
The 7 Eleven franchise are surely the masterminds behind all of it.
