> There's no PCB vendors left in Europe that's worth the effort.
@Lundin The main suppressor of PCB fabs in California is environmental regulation. It's pretty much impossible to get a new permit for a PCB fab. Bay Area Circuits moved shop around 2013, they moved to a site of an existing PCB fab, and inherited the permit.
Assembly shops (PCBA houses) don't suffer from this. So there's a great number of them around here. I know a spot with five PCBA houses within 1km circle.

@NickAlexeev It would be curious to check what it would cost to buy PCBs from California in Europe. Shipping costs would be about the same as from South Korea or China and that's always the biggest cost.
And yeah we got plenty of local PCBA assembly contractors locally. Around Stockholm where I live there's at least ten. And then Mydata are located here too, who make them P&P machines.

@Lundin Bay Area Circuits and Sierra Circuits . Check them out.

Sierra Circuits core competence is PCB fab.
They'll pitch assembly too, and they can do it. Quality is good. Cost is reasonable (for a US-based shop). Be prepared for snags in the interplay with them. Trivial stuff, but it can add a day of delay here and there. Their PCB fab and assembly lines are in different buildings few km apart. The snags come mainly from the assembly building.
