Hi, is this kind of question on-topic for the site?
> Preferred Lens Kit For Architecture, Interior & Nature Photography?
I'm hardly an authority on what's on topic here, but I'd at least drop the word "Preferred" from the title. It's just an invitation for some to close-vote as "too subjective".
(I want to know 'cause a friend is closing shop and he kinda let me know beforehand; I can get the lens as cheap as 50%)
@IlmariKaronen ok

@its_me Other than that, I do see existing upvoted questions like this under the tag. Then again, this question got closed, apparently with a specific closing reason for "shopping questions", so what do I know?
Maybe the standards have changed over the years.
Then again, if you compare those two questions, you can see a definite difference in overall quality. So it might be that it's just crap lens recommendation question that get closed.

@IlmariKaronen yeah, I guess. I'll take a look at them both and see. Thanks!

Q: Lens Kit For Architecture, Interior, and Nature Photography?

its_meI am a beginner who is into photographing Architecture, Miniature Faking, Interiors, Nature and Scapes (landscape, cityscape, etc.), and am being gifted a Sony Alpha a7S. @its_me as others have said, this is way way too broad
that's three different entire fields of photography
in general, asking for specific lens recommendations is frowned upon, asking for help comparing two specific lenses given a well defined context is on the edge of being on topic (and depends on who you get looking at it) and questions about what to look for in a lens for a particular type of photography is ideal (but also largely already answered on the site)
so I took my first stab at engagement photos today
for my sister in law

@AJHenderson Very nice! I like the pictures, especially the way you've captured the snow. The text looks somehow a bit tacky to me, though. Maybe it's the color...
Or that the two pieces of text are fighting for attention, and distracting from the subject. I might be tempted to make one of them smaller, and move them closer together.

well, it's a post card
and the text color is their wedding color
I'm not super thrilled with the text
@AJHenderson Welcome. :)
