There's a weird about of political programming going on here. Folks, if someone wants to ask a question, just let them ask it and answer it normally. Screw politics and screw whatever effects it might have on various political culture wars; that trash shouldn't matter here.

Sorry if that comes off as harsh, but folks need a wake-up call from this unhealthy obsession with political posturing. When it gets to the point that people can't freely pose ideas on a Q&A site about Philosophy, it's gotten out-of-hand.

@Nat "political culture wars" is a very light-hearted way to refer to all the trans people who face harassment, ostracization, discrimination, violence, and murder, who are denied life-saving medical care, and many of whom end up committing suicide as a result of all of that. Blatant misrepresentations of what it means to be trans contributes greatly to that.
