Has anyone here used Avalonia instead of WPF in a C# project? I hear people talking about AvalonEdit but I just found AvaloniaEdit, which is supposedly the same thing with this new front end on it.

There is no such thing as .NET VBA, VBA is a COM technology, VB.NET is, well, .NET. What BigBen said :) You simply cannot compare the two, they're apples and oranges. There's no concept of a Variant in .NET, so VarType is irrelevant there. — Mathieu Guindon 2 mins ago
well put

So basically, in .NET you have more (and much richer) types to play with, and Microsoft included enum constants for these types so that if you really wanted to do things the old VB6 way for new things, you still could (a terrible idea IMO, but that's another debate). "Office VBA" is misleading shorthand for "VBA hosted in Office which is exactly the same VBA hosted in any other application ever made" — Mathieu Guindon 1 min ago
having fun here lol

yeah sheesh
tbh I'm not really familiar with VB.Net, just know enough to know that it's not VBA

I know enough to know that if I were familiar with VB.NET, I wouldn't be Using Microsoft.VisualBasic

rofl
(vaguely remembers conversations with dev friends who had no idea what VBA was and conflated it and VB.Net)
Ok this is getting frustrating.

With Excel 4 macros now being disabled by default, I suppose auto_open macros should probably trigger a RD inspection warning of some kind, yea?

YESSS!! I got an "upload screenshot" POST request working! I'll probably have the whole admin sub-site ready by tonight (well, minus the GitHub authentication, which I tossed aside for now)

But two pb...

1)
On Save file or Quit application, I've the following message:
******************************

@Duga 32-bit OCX designed for VB6 should have never worked in VBA to begin with... now how the heck is possibly RD interacting with this??!!

9:09 PM
@MathieuGuindon ohhh, cool
@Duga mumble mumble typing effort tradeoff lost..
"pb" instead of "problems" really is... something
