@Mat'sMug When Winter is Coming in Canada, seems more serious than around these parts...

Just to feedback that RubberDuck is back up and running in my Excel installation after the problems i was experiencing earlier this week. Nothing special done, guess it was a random thing, but i am so happy!!!!

```
Private BackingField As String
Public Property Get Field() As String
Field = BackingField
End Property
Public Property Let(NewValue As String)
'Some complicated logic goes here...
BackingField = NewValue
End Property
Public Sub Doh()
BackingField = "Bypassing the logic!"
End Sub
```
It's too easy to wrongly reference the backing field within the module; there are instances where bypassing the logic embedded in the setter is fine, but I think i

@Mat'sMug Wood fireplace?
Mostly for show, I take it? You guys seriously can't be using wood as your main heat source still :P

> Brilliant idea. The IgnoreOnce attribute should automatically work, but it would be something we need to test.

2:20 PM
@Mat'sMug I hope that the toilet repair wasn't precipitated by the wood chopping. It makes for a poor chopping block.

@this Leads to splinters in uncomfortable places

:)
@this Did you get a chance to copy that commit data to your repo?

@Hosch250 yeah it's in the current PR

Cool.
Just need to make the combobox always show. That's going to be a little harder.

yeah, don't know why they thought it was a great idea to not show it.

2:23 PM
I'll take a look soon as I can; probably on the weekend.

NP
if nothing else, we'll just add neon colors flashing on it to indicate it's editable. Should be OK.

@Hosch250 yeah.. and yeah, just because it's nice. We have this thing called electricity up here too lol

Yeah, I love fire too.
Fire and ice are two of the most beautiful things :)

I needed to query some computers to get the specs (Ram, HD, VideoCard, etc...) and used powershell to do that. I used Win32_ComputerSystem class. Does anyone know if the scripts are in C or C++?

7:26 PM
Does it really matter?

> when Microsoft developed the first versions of WMI they use DCOM (Distributed Component Object Model) wish if a proprietary Microsoft Technology, so the standards and cross compatibility just took a back seat at the time, on more recent versions of the operating system with Windows Management Framework 2.0 and above MS started to include more and more of the standards and shifter to using WS-Management SOAP-based protocol thru their WinRM (Windows Remote Management) protocol.

So i know i am being dumb but i inserted a TestMethod1 for TDD. All i have inserted is 'Arrange: Dim myTest As String 'Act: myTest = "Me" 'Assert: Assert.AreEqual "Me2" , myTest
It fails as expected but i am getting an object variable or With block variable not set Run-time error 91
In my tired madness what obvious thing am i missing? Such that TestFail produces this?

@Hosch250 makes for a significantly smaller heating oil bill

Yep. We have a neighbor who does it.
He uses it on really cold days because it gets really, really hot.
He just goes around the neighborhood and collects logs from fallen trees and stuff.

also makes for great exercise

Talking about that, do you live near the Black Forest (or what remains of it)?

I don't understand that last part.
also "near"... well for you americans, probably.

I'm not that strong in my geography.

9:03 PM
@Hosch250 I don't think it does. I just needed to use [string]::Format("Foo {0}", $Bar) and wasn't sure if it was C, C++, etc...

it's a bit less than an hour's drive on the Autobahn to get to Pforzheim, which is the "north end" of the Black Forest

I wasn't sure if it was still around, or if it had died out or been cut down or been destroyed in the wars.

Lacking any experience it's hard to ask the correct question.

@IvenBach Looks like C++.
C doesn't have classes, and that would be C++ notation for a static member of a class, IIRC.

Thanks.

9:05 PM
@Hosch250 thank you very much for two very hearty laughs

I try and ask Google before coming to the ducks.

@Vogel612 NP.

The Black Forest is alive and kicking.

Out here, we've lost a lot of forests to industrialization and many of the remaining protected ones are threatened by various beetles and fungi, so...

Climate change slowly changes it's composition from dark needlewoods to more leafy trees like birch, oak and possibly hazel
the forest just isn't quite accessible enough to be viable for industrial purposes and even before that people seem to have been more future-oriented than they get credit for
IIUC parts of it were "Bannwald" since quite some time
and you forget that Germany went from a feudal system, where only nobility was allowed to fell trees to industrialization pretty quickly

9:10 PM
It's been a big tourist spot forever.
Did you ever read Three Men on the Bummel?
It's about the English author and his friends who went on a touring trip through it back somewhere in the late 1800's/early 1900's.

no, I did not. Is it good?

There's also Three Men in a Boat, which is about the same characters touring the Thames before they were married.
I thought so.
It's not always the most complimentary, but it's funny.
If you like Twain, you'd probably like those two.

I ate a lot of sausage in Freiberg, didn't see a lot of trees.

Duck check: TestExplorer shows 0ms for the duration if run via Rubberduck>UnitTests>Run All Tests for me. If I run it through the TextExplorer window a duration does come up. Can anyone else confirm this?

> Going through `Rubberduck>UnitTests>Run All Tests` produces the image below. Note the 0ms timer for each test.

Using `TestExplorer>Run>All Tests` produces the times show below.

> Digging a little deeper.

Added an `Assert.Fail` to a test and ran via `Rubberduck>UnitTests>Run All Tests` and got the image below. A reparse and `Run All Tests` didn't change anything.

Going through `Test Explorer>Run>All Tests` produces the correct visual.
