I had that happen in the last place I rented, they wanted to break the lease so I got $1500. And then they ended up not selling it, boy was the managing agent MAD - she gave me my deposit back without even checking the place over.
Oh man, that really sucks. I'm hoping that they are able to sell the place though, they are a very nice couple. I still have probably a month before I see a penny of our deposit back as our lease doesn't end til the end of this month.
Whoops, wasn't watching the clock. It's time for me to head out to work. I'll be back around this afternoon. :)
