Q: Are quesitons about community building on topic?

Bruce AdamsI thought this question had already come up in Area51 but I cannot see it here so I am duplicating it. Are questions about how to build and manage a programming language community on-topic here or should they be redirected to, for example, community building? On the one hand programming languages...

Q: How to Add Static Typing to a Stack Language?

lyxalWhat level of static typing can be added to a stack-based language? I know it's impossible to fully statically type a stack language: "string" 399 1 io.inputAsInt range loop swap end-loop # can't determine what'll be on the top of the stack until runtime But is there some level of static typing ...

I got the longest site names by running Array.prototype.map.call(document.querySelectorAll('.gv-item h2'), el => el.innerText).sort((a, b) => [...b].length - [...a].length) in the console at stackexchange.com/sites

thanks
So does it just automatically check in all tabs I have an SE site open in, or...?

In the future I'm planning on changing that, but it was originally designed for just CGCC so it wasn't necessary back then
Oh, forgot that when you hit vote limit you lose access to FA and LA

Q: Are questions about specific languages on-topic?

RedzGooseWould a question about a specific feature of specific programming languages be on-topic or would the scope be too specific? For example, asking about the implementation of a specific feature of, say, Python.

> generic review tool designed just for cgcc
The irony :p

That question on what should be allowed in identifiers names got me thinking about what a language where almost every character can be in an identifier would be like.
The only disallowed characters would be whitespace, () and ,
Everything would be a function - even variable assignment
let(type, name, value)
agda on steroids
You're two steps away from reinventing lisp
really only one step, just add macros and you're done
