Wouldn't it be nice if OODHAM meant 'Robin'? What with (-h)OOD "Dis-covered") + HAM...
@msh210 Ah wait! It's GOTHAM = Robin's neighborhood! GOT+HAM

@bobble forgot to say why I was posting this - wanted to know if other people agreed on the tag, before I edit it from the question
it's a very common misconception about [cryptography] = [cipher], but I want to be sure this poster actually has it

i think the tag wiki is pretty clear: "Do NOT use this for simple 'crack the code' problems; use [cipher] instead."'
@Stiv ha, very nice!

I wasn't sure how to parse their defense of "because one element as the sequence was generated could be used in an encryption scheme"

@bobble btw, how do you reply to your own comments? I mean tag them.

copy-paste the link to the chat message (e.g. https://chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/63235958#63235958), delete all but the last number, prepend a : -> :63235958
That goes at the start of your replay

@bobble I say it's best to remove it
especially given their edit says something like (paraphrasing) "Adding to get more responses)

Honestly I'm not up for fighting then since they seem so convinced

CCCC: Serve Jones the senior (5)

2:21 PM
@Jafe I recommend thoroughly cooking the senior before serving him to Jones. Jones does not like underdone meat.

2:49 PM
@bobble I'm up for it, point them my way if they harass you again

@Jafe Is this DOYEN (senior) = DO (serve) + YEN (jones, as in craving/addiction)?

I don't think I've ever seen doyenne in masculine before.

Well, it's in the dictionary!

@everyone i have a problem

Yeah, that must be the answer. I'm just ignorant of words.
Everyone does, parz. What's yours?

Hi! Sorry for the spam. We have an interesting and challenging question on Parenting SE related to puzzles. I thought you might be interested: Five Year old structured playing - Parenting Stack Exchange.
If you think this type of message is not appropriate in this chat room, please let me know.

@TimurShtatland No issues with you asking in the chat! I don't think that question would get much useful response on Puzzling; there might be a random person or 3 with enough experience in preschool psychology (etc.) to be qualified to answer knowledgeably, but for the majority of us, answers would be speculative/opinion-based—and questions which will inevitably attract such answers are off-topic here. (It's more Parenting question about puzzles, than Puzzling question interesting to parents.)
