frocks are outer garments so that could be an extreme-letters selection indicator... but then frocks of "fleeing cardinals" would be FGCS which doesn't look all that promising
bottle can mean courage, cardinals could be NWSE, and those who butt heads could be RAMS... no two of those theories fit nicely together though
maybe the fleeing cardinals lost their courage when they heard BATT'RIN' RAMS pounding on the gate
or maybe frocks is a first-letter indicator (since the frock is worn on top of everything else)... that would give FCAFU, clearly a portmanteau of FC and SNAFU meaning "football club all fouled up"

@bobble Mods have pretty limited power to do anything about dodgy voting; that's generally handled either automatically or by entities with greater powers than us. If you got a bunch of votes from an account that ought to be destroyed, we can blow it up and you'll lose those votes, but if it's just common-or-garden voting abuse it's not our job to reverse that.
