Now it's too hot to sleep again. To try and correct myself up there, my mother also had crystal clear handwriting. She taught me to switch between upper and lowercase on crosswords, depending on levels of certainty. My handwriting is a mess of graphite and ink but you should see my music writing. It looks printed. To each their own perfectionism.
(Now almost every crossword I solve in my sleep is in lowercase. Safer that way.)
My father (to repeat) solves crosswords like golf holes (and he's never been on a green).
Start from the top left and wend one way or another to the bottom right.
Never mind the missed strokes.
I so love my parents but feel like a product of circumstance.
(That was for you, J bro, if you ever sally here.)

o/
Why sleep mid afternoon?

Maybe I'll change my usernym to "zalwzworth1try"

@GarethMcCaughan my comment was intended for you btw puzzling.stackexchange.com/questions/53270/…

you could have pinged Gareth in the comment itself, which would also have notified him

Stop being right, ffao!
I've been right every time, in my time. Until I became middle.
Now I go wrong just to enjoy being corrected. (Used to go wrong just for relief, but no longer. A new excuse each time.)

@ffao I forgot

10:57 PM
"The music plays the band." (Again, I'm gonna buzz this place until my easiest puzzles get solved.)

@n_palum OK, noted.
@ffao Don't stop being right!

That sounds like something humn would say

It's the exact opposite of something he did say :-). If I occasionally veer toward humnitude, I am not sorry for it.

I've probably come across as caring about it more than I do, I was just trying to say where my flag/vote came from.
If people think it's fine then works for me. I just thought it was speculation about possible new combinations

@GarethMcCaughan , nonapology appreciated.
@n_palum , thank you for caring and for the repermutations.
I was a cuss until i became recursive.

:)
Sounds like a bad case of the cursive rursive carsive

:))) (I actually looked those words up before realizing how freewheeling they are.)
While in encrypted lyric land:

I have the coolest substitute teacher the first thing he did was put 3 rebus puzzles on the board

! any way to show them here?

No >< I'm in class I shouldn't even be here
I was just too excited

Real life imitates puzzling. Thank you for the stolen moment.

(When I played those kinds of pieces I clinged to trombone like a fire ladder. Then I learned to arrange and now can actually hear what all others put into it. What a pleasure.)
("clinged" = "clung")
