Q: What is association bonus

LuciferangelI just got 100 rep added to all my stackexchange sites. Anyone know what that means???(P.S i know this ain't exactly a puzzle question, but it's puzzling me) Is it common? Does everyone get it? I am not sure. Could some one please let me know thanks
