Q: Who is this man?

VuckoA friend told me this riddle a few weeks ago, and I have remembered it now. I have not yet solved it. It goes like this: A man eats what he does not have. If he had what he doesn't, he wouldn't be what he is. Who is he? He told me that I can ask as many questions as I want, and so...

Q: What happened to my reputation (points)?

Peregrine RookI have some browser tabs that have been open for several days.  A few of them show my reputation as either 2221 or 2231.*  My rep is currently 2165, for a drop of 66 from the high-water mark.  My # of posts edited and my progress toward earning a “Sportsmanship” badge also went down. __________ *...

the "Who is this man"
question.
I had an answer of my own, though at the same time, I can't comment because I have no rep here. So I thought i'd answer it here xD

A man eats what he does not have.
Adam ate the forbidden fruit. This didn't belong to him. Thus he did not have it.
(Yes, I am aware that Eve ate it first. shh that's not important. this is about a he, not a she)

If he had what he doesn't, he wouldn't be what he is.
If he had the rib that was taken, to produce the wife he had, she would not have been persuaded to eat the fruit, and thus he wouldn't have been persuaded by her, hi

She has already discovered the place. It's a country mansion out of town. God, she feels as a character of Eyes Wide Shut. But she's n...

Q: Getting riddle quality back on track: a proposal for the path forward

EmrakulRiddle quality is dropping. I think most of us have seen it lately: there’s been a slow slide in effort and energy put into riddles, and it’s starting to seriously hurt the site. On Stack Exchange, our goal is to optimize for pearls, not sand, and right now, we’re very much not doing this. If we ...
