Q: Why does randalthor only have 1 rep?

user1717828Is he some sort of super mod that can't gain rep any more or something?

Ahhh. I love that no one ever uses chat, and thus there is never a way to ask a question about the site.
@question_asker But you can ask the question, and someone will eventually see it in chat...
Besides, with your handle, how can you resist asking it...? :P

Ok, so here goes, maybe I'll get an answer in a week: I tried to edit a tag wiki, got redirected to the tag wiki info page
And in any case, the change I actually wanted to make isn't really possible, nor is addressing it, so shrug emoticon
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@question_asker I'll respond to anyone's questions. I'm pretty much in chat whenever I'm online :P
@question_asker Hm. You don't have the edit tag wiki privilege yet, but you should still be able to suggest tag wiki edits.
Which tag wiki were you trying to edit?
Short version: newly-created "color sequence" tag is technically fine I guess but imho makes less sense than just having a single "sequence" tag (a sequence puzzle is a sequence puzzle whether it's letters or numbers or colors or shapes or whatever)
Gosh it makes so much sense to disallow useful edits by regular users via arbitrary reputation requirements, opting instead to incentivize unnecessary edits through privilege gamification

@question_asker Sounds like you should post a meta question requesting that the tags should be synonymized. Actually, I'll just make them synonyms right now, but if anything like that happens in the future meta is the right place.
Uh. Scratch that. There is no tag.
Oh, whoops, it's colour, not color. >_<
Every day I see stuff shuffle up to the top of the "active" list (which is the default, which cannot be changed by the user) with no real activity on them, only non-useful edits being made by people in search of Internet Points
It might have been "colour sequence"
@question_asker You can change that. If you don't want the active list, just use http://puzzling.stackexchange.com/questions, which shows only new questions.
As for trivial and pointless edits, if you see a repeat offender, flags are a good way to bring that to the moderators' attention so we can look into it.
(I realize my gripe is with the way SE sites work as a rule, but it should still be noted that this, along with the fact that attempts at communicating are a dice roll, but somebody needs to point out that this is so broken)
I can change the way the page shows up on the current load, but if I look at another SE site and then come back to puzzling, it shows the default again
Ah, that's what you mean. Yes, the homepage is always active. You can either manually click Questions every time, or I guess you could userscript it, or even post a [feature-request] on Meta Stack Exchange.

@question_asker I manually click Questions every time; I don't even think about it. And sometimes it's nice to see the "Active" list, since every once-in-a-while something older pops up there that I find interesting.
