Q: An Hourglass Puzzle

qwertylpc'Tis my 3rd question of the day, and unlike the first two, (1 and 2), I have hopes that I may finally slow down the masterful VictorHenry. This puzzle follows from the well known sand timer puzzles: A Sand Timer Challenge http://www.crazyforcode.com/sand-timer-puzzle/ http://www.cut-the-knot.o...

Hey guys, recently decided to make a puzzle-oriented website with brainteasers, puzzle toy reviews and other related stuff. Have already added extensive solutions to most of the easier problems, as well as some posts about Hanayama puzzles, sudoku championships, etc. Would really appreciate it if you can take a look and give me some feedback/recommendation. Thank you a lot!

Hi Emrakul
I saw that you deleted my Not-Answer about the Tetris puzzle
I agree that it's not an answer to the actual question
but for me as a mathematician it really is an important part of the analysis of that problem
and 26 other people seemed to feel that way, too
Can I do anything to keep my answer alive?
For example, would the answer be worth keeping if I repeated Tyrth explaination? I didn't do that and gave him credit instead, because he came up with the answer first,
and I don't think repeating his proof has any value for anybody.
But i DO think my proof of what is possible has value.
Anyway, I feel kinda frustrated, because it seemed like the community really liked my answer as additional info to this question, and then it gets deleted.
So, I've added a paragraph to make the answer more relevant to the actual question.
It'd be great if you could give it another look.

@Sumyrda Heya! I'm not sure how one might rework it, since the fundamental point of the answer doesn't answer the question asked. I do still think it's valuable information, though, so what you could potentially do is post a new question and self-answer your own question with this answer. That, I think, solves the problem.

@Emrakul Ok, I'll ask Tyrth if he wants to include it in his answer, which would be nice as it would keep the stuff together - if not, I'll make a new question and answer as you suggested.

Sounds like a plan!
