@Green I've increasingly found that there are indeed conferences on very specific subjects -- I work partly in gravitational waves, and recently found out there's a GW conference that thousands of folks go to which I'd never heard of before (even though it's really just a general gravitational wave meeting, and not anything more specific than that!).
