(really, jokes aside you would had to try someday. That user is kinda scary with the speed they can find a relevant article for anything you could ask. It is not a secret that we believe he is a Google answering bot)
be proud :P

@trogdor It is great in some ways, though it reeks of a certain kind of cynicism.
Not sure if my impression is all accurate though, but the game just loves to embellish the sad shape the protagonist and the world around him are in
You do have genuinely kind (at least based on a few hours of gameplay) and friendly characters too to balance it out, tho.

@kviiri not sure about this one, yet I suspect it at least isn't 20 hours worth of fake advertising, not likeable characters you have to play with, revenge and murder all culminating in a mud fight and a lost finger because they wanted a Frodo.
That said... the pictures look like some sort of post-apocalyptic setting?
In that case I think I may get what you mean there and I see it in many similar games.

@SPArcheon The game opens up with the protagonist recovering from a really, really, really bad drinking binge with a total loss of memory about themselves and the world, so the setting is still somewhat mysterious to me.
It's not exactly post-apocalyptic, at least to my understanding. But not that far off, either. There has been war and mismanagement, by my understanding. Don't want to go too much into details to not spoil it.
One of my former co-workers was involved in the game and I think he mentioned the game drawing a lot of visual and social inspiration from Soviet era problems (the studio is Estonian)
It would make a LOT of sense, at least.
I haven't exactly played CRPGs before. I mean, once where you're expected to actually roleplay as the general decision mechanic. Genre blenders, yes, like The New Order or Morrowind, but never really this straight
I feel somewhat out of my comfort zone, because I'm bad at not second-guessing designer intents.
Not that I wouldn't enjoy the game regardless, it just feels... strange to me. And a bit stressful.
I'm used to knowing what values I'm trying to play for in a game, here I have no clue.
Having to play a sorry amnesiac loser doesn't really help, but it is a premise that does pack surprising potential.
Anyway, I'm off for now
Nice weekends all around o/

@kviiri depends. Hopefully you don't discover that he was retelling the memory of the black haired friend lookalike who died before the game started but you didn't think was important to mention to both the girlfriend and the family.....
Does the dude have constant headaches and/or uses a really oversized sword? In that case I would start to worry.
