Well the whole browser background doesn't change for me, just the tiny box in the bottom left corner.

I tried in a Debian VPS machine I have and also noticed that big flash. Can you tell me what's your Firefox version? As far as I know, my manjaro keeps me updated.

I literally have no idea what this post is about. I am on macOS Monterey (12.5) and I see none of what is being described here.

@mashuptwice I am referring to the original poster who mentions Manjaro. This image you posted matches what I see for the find box in macOS as well.

I've been using Firefox on Windows since version 1.5 and on Linux for a couple years now, and I also can't think of any red flash. Maybe it's something due to your customizations? Are you using a custom theme or extensions?

If anything more than the search box is flashing red on no search results that is a bug or error specific to your computer, and not default to Firefox. I have used Firefox for decades on Windows and various Linux variants and it has never done anything but the red shading to the search box.
