@ElectionBot help
Election FAQs I can answer (more in https://github.com/samliew/se-electionbot#readme):
- What is an election
- How to nominate myself
- How to vote
- Who should I vote for
- How is candidate score calculated
- What is my candidate score
- What are the mod/participation/editor badges
- What is the election status
- When is the next phase
- How many are eligible to vote
- Who are the candidates
- Who are the current mods
- What do moderators do
- What is Single Transferable Vote (STV)
@ElectionBot - What do moderators do
Huh, I guess I'd need to check this link to find how it works...
21:25
What do moderators do, according to the help files: https://meta.stackexchange.com/help/site-moderators):

>The most common moderator task is to follow up on flagged posts. Every post contains a small flag link, which anyone with 15 reputation can use. Posts can be flagged as spam, offensive, or just general “needs moderator attention” with an explanatory comment or link. Once flagged, a post increments a flag count that shows up in the topbar for every moderator.
So, I guess another thing moderators do is to visit the election chat room occasionally.
@ElectionBot what is my candidate score
@orthocresol hey, you already have a diamond! Just so you know, your score is 38 (out of 40). You are missing these badges: Marshal, Steward.
@orthocresol You got the bot to respond!
Are you sure I'm not a bot too?
@ElectionBot what do moderators do
You passed the modified Turing test - who makes me laugh more...
And the election bot did not answer...
21:36
I think the list in the help is not entirely accurate. There's a list of questions at github.com/samliew/se-electionbot#readme, which (I think) are the correct prompts.
@ElectionBot what are the responsibilities of a moderator
@ElectionBot what is my candidate score
... well maybe not
@ElectionBot get throttle
@orthocresol reticulating splines
@ElectionBot fun on
@orthocresol Please read my previous message...
21:37
@ElectionBot alive
Oh well, I know my candidate score. @orthocresol Thanks for posting the links about moderator duties on the other thread.
No prob, it was certainly easier than coming up with a proper response...
@EdV The human:bot ratio is increasing further.
@ElectionBot what are the responsibilities of moderators
I'm going on a road trip starting tomorrow. Not sure how often I will be able to check in. It sounds like the election rules allow for another 7 days to find candidates, though.

Yes, I think at the rate we're going, it'll be extended. It was extended last time too.
We are trying to chat with the bot, but it is a bit shy.
I recall Loong was actually overseas and without Internet (or at least with infrequent access) when he was elected.
I'll be local, but my car is not sufficiently autonomous for me to chat and drive.
I hope my (now deleted) comment about the tigers did not scare anyone off! There are quite a few users who would be good candidates. I exchange e-mails with “Achem” all the time, so I will ask him if he wants to be nominated.
@ElectionBot how to decide who to vote for
21:50
@orthocresol If you want to make an informed decision on who to vote for, you should read the nominees' answers to the questionnaire, look at examples of their participation on Meta, and how they conduct themselves.
@ElectionBot who of the moderators is running
.. Frankly, I don't understand this question, because current moderators do not need to nominate again.
Anyway, your turn...
I'm sorry to interfere, but... The election is in the nomination phase, and currently there is 1 candidate. I can answer commonly-asked questions about elections (type @ElectionBot help for more info).
22:22
@orthocresol the answer to the question is relevant if the election type is a "graduation" election where existing mods have to either nominate or step down
@orthocresol hmm, looks like you are not automatically added to the list of admins as a mod - let me take a look
22:39
If anyone has questions for me, I can be mentioned now. ;) I won't be as fast as the bot though; is not in my programming.
22:56
@OlegValteriswithUkraine Aha, I see.
@Martin-マーチン who is the best moderator
