Doesn't GPT-3 pass the turing test easily
"Sound like you're a human" isn't exactly hard nor a good way to judge general intelligence
The dream is dead
My parents have basically said "you're not going by yourself and that's final" and they seem to actually have made up their minds
Which means I'm not going at all
Because no way are either of them gonna spend $3k to massively inconvenience themselves
The way they arrived at their opinion is the most infuriating part
They asked their friends at work...
and they work at a Sheriff's office
Like you couldn't've found a better sample of authoritative, controlling dumbass parents
language
@RydwolfPrograms true lol
"Oh yeah my buddy James said he'd never let his son do that"...yeah and his son's in the infantry

i love the new file explorer thingy in GH
And got kicked out for getting drunk and doing dumb stuff
Like yeah duh if I was that kid's dad I wouldn't let him either lol
And they're like "look it's not that we don't trust you [lie], it's just that you don't have the life experience you need" when like...I'm going to live on my own for the rest of my life in 18 months when do you think I'm gonna get that experience
And I'm far more capable of handling stressful situations than either of them
Like they refused to let me go to my MCR concert alone. But my mom basically completely shut down when confronted with like...the most basic navigation issue on the way back and I had to do all the finding-which-way-to-go and stuff

Thinking more about emancipation it probably isn't worth it
It'd be risky too
I'm not sure I'd enjoy working 30 hour weeks without a vehicle just to live in a teeny apartment
And if the process took too long I'd be in the extremely unenviable position of having to be a dependent of two upper-mid-middle class parents financial-aid-wise, while having the actual income of a single high schooler
Really the solution would be a car crash but the odds are low enough I don't dare dream

@Seggan it's actually quite neat
I just wish it let you open files from the side bar in new tabs
For some reason, right click is disabled on that sidebar
Just enabled it today, it's great but I hate how slow it is
The symbols menu is nice though
It should not be that slow when all it's doing is showing me a bunch of small to medium size files
@lyxal Absolutely, yeah. Fuzzy search is nice too
I just wish it weren't as slow as one of those Wix sites
And buggy too (I selected one symbol and got that nice yellow highlighting on it and some references, and when I switched to another file, the yellow highlights remained even though they made no sense in that other file)
Odd, I haven't had any issues with it
And I've been using it since November last year

Maybe GitHub Refined is messing with it?
