I saw this post on Expatriates Stackexchange:meta.expatriates.stackexchange.com/questions/104/…
Since we haven't heard anything similar, does that mean that they're not as pleased with us?

@BrianRushton Not really. MathEd started a day later than Expats and we're likely to wait until sometime next week to go public. Anybody can start the pro tem moderator question at any time. But if it's not there before the start of public beta, we'll kick it off.

@JonEricson Thanks; I've been secretly worried that the private beta will get killed off as not viable. It seems to happen occasionally, and because there have been so many subjective questions, I've wondered if we're on the blacklist. So it's reassuring that a public beta is in the future.
@BrianRushton We're still reviewing the site, the early responses are encouraging. If we do hold this site back from public beta, it'll likely be for a specific shortcoming that can be fixed rather than to shut it down. The key is there seem to be expert educators building the community.

@JonEricson Will there be feedback how to improve critized points? I'm also a little concerened about the subjectivity.

A: The Subjectivity Problem with Questions Appropriate to Mathematics Educators

Jon EricsonOne of the absolutely intriguing elements of this site is illustrated by this cartoon: The actual topic of the site (eduction) sits far to the left. It's one part sociology and one part psychology. But the focus of the site stands alone on the right. Good math teachers (and I've had a few) ...

I'm not too worried about subjectivity per se.
If there's something to work on, we'll let you know on meta.
My biggest concern at the moment is melding a community split between Math.SE/MO users and new-to-the-network users. But we are seeing progress there.
