Since it is action 3d rpg they have no way to make challenges that REQUIRE a character

and sometimes I surprise myself trying stuff that works in BOTW and doesnt in Genshin

so, just play at your leisure, save gem and spend them when you see something you really like

usually go for the normal pull since i always get 1-2 keys just playing

but i guess for characters the other one is more worth

especially since im 40 out of 70 for the 5* pity pull

@Fredy31 you can't get the event character from the standard banner, but you can get the standard 5* character from the event one if you lose the 50% thing

so, in the end, it is better to focus on the event one since the not-limited 5* are bound to came soon or later anyway

yeah I probably understood it wrong but my understanding was standard you can pull ANY character except current event, and the event pull the pool of characters is reduced, but then you got more chances of getting the current event

But also the standard has a bunch more weapons to pollute what you are pulling

because if im pulling a 3star weapon, guess where it fucking goes... TO THE GRINDER

basically, if you get a 5* on Xiao banner, you either get Xiao OR a standard 5* (Diluc, Keqing, Qiqi, Jean, Mona). If you get the not-limited character, next time you are sure to get the limited one.

The standard banner uses a different type of fate. On that banner you can only get Diluc, Keqing, Qiqi, Jean, Mona OR a 5* weapon (out of a limited pool again)

was wondering, saw the 50% thing at the end of last event, pulled the event banner, no character

was like IN 10 PULLS, NO CHARACTER THAT IS 50% CHANCE? WTF.

But I guess its 'if you are about to pull a character, 50% chance its the event character'

since you can get Diluc, Keqing, Qiqi, Jean, Mona by failing on the Event banner it is not worth to pull on the Standard one unless you got those fates from quests/events

basically - do not spend gem on standard, only the fates you get for free. Unless you really need that for some odd reason.
