I have to do a lot of work on that question (adding new hats and changing all svgshare links of second answer to imgur) but I am on mobile phone right now.
The "bug" I mentioned earlier isn't really a bug because we have no way of distinguishing which site a room is parented to, only which site a user has set as a parent. Yaakov can explain it better. So your parent determines which site you earn the hat on, if you qualify.

Yeah. So I can confirm that reparenting if you already have the hat will just award the hat again, so any data you've collected about it with subsequent sites on chat.se is bad data.
I believe I've earned both the Rep Cap and Hi5 hats, but they haven't shown up so far (5.5 hrs). With Hi5 in particular, do the answers have to be both posted and accepted on the same day, or just accepted on the same day, even if one or more were posted earlier?

Hmmm - just got Spotting Scope on Physics - the only activity I had there was from review queues. I was the final close voter on a couple and 2nd last on a couple - wonder if this is a vote to close a question that then gets closed hat
OK, it was my incoming complaint that triggered the repair.
@YaakovEllis I think it was re-parenting my chat user was met with an abnormally long period of time to switch from one hat to another, where I was hatless inbetween.
@U12-F̉͋̅̾̇orward I don't know, but I cast quite a lot of closing votes and after some time (I assume after these votes have been reviewed and the closure was finally accepted), I got the helping finger and the spotting scope
Just got the "spotting scope" was trying to get the other review based hats but whatever I did in the "close", "edit" and "re-open" queues has triggered this hat.
I wonder it is something to do with reviewing different tags? Just thinking of the name of it "Spotting scope"?
What is the key to getting the review hats, it says "validated" but what does that mean exactly? I've completed reviews and others who have reviewed and agreed with the outcome??
