No wonder the puzzle was so hard, the song that I was taught with switches things up from the 9th day, which is: 9 drummers druming, 10 pipers piping, 11 ladies dancing, and 12 lords a leaping

Hi guys, I've been working on a Christmas-tree-shaped Hokuro puzzle (I've posted two of those, newly invented grid deduction puzzles before). Maybe it fits in the series?
It sure would!
Alright, I'll just enter my name into the spreadsheet then :)

Are winter-themed puzzles technically close enough to count or should they be strictly Christmas-themed? Just bouncing around some ideas right now to see if anything substantial will come out of them lol
@samm82 I think most winter-related things are close enough to a christmas theme. E.g. I'd count a puzzle about a snowman as matching the criteria.

sweet! I'm thinking about a cryptic crossword (idk if someone's already going that route, though I wouldn't be surprised) but I won't put my name down just yet based on how long it usually takes for me to make one
Have fun! :) I suspect Jafe may have already made up to 3 cryptic crosswords, but there would of course be no problem with more from other people.

*up to 2
heheh
i'm making a crossword as the backup puzzle but if it turns out to be good i might swap it with the 10 dec entry
Just got so freaked out by Jafe posting Day 3's puzzle when it was only 8:49pm here. Wondered how it had suddenly got so late! (Before remembering Australia time...)
I wonder if I should already post a hint for Day 2, now that #3 has been posted.
A small one, perhaps :)

@Jafe If you haven't already, would you mind checking my link to see if it's right? I think I got it, but that's a lot of little dots for some old eyes.
21:18
yeah just checked, it's all correct
i need to get into the habit of using that website too
another solve by a new user, nice!
Would be a dream if we can get new people interested in PSE with these puzzles.

I always try to set up the online solvers when I can. It may be stupid, but I just hate how my answers look when I do them in Paint, and my handwriting is even worse.
yeah plus it's just more fun to click a link and start solving instead of right-click-save-as-pick-folder-open-with...
