HI
:-)
Hi! First of all, let me clarify that it is only my personal opionion. Given that you are a moderator on 3D printing, I assume you know what I mean here.
Do you mean that very very low quality posts, such as the one in question should be left as is - i.e. there isn't much point in trying to fix them? If so, I would tend to agree...
Yes, I think you got quite well what I mean: In cases of questions like unix.stackexchange.com/q/676606/377345, I would recommend that after a certain while in which the OP is rather unresponsive to requests for clarification (I would not consider a repost a "response" in that sense), we should have them take the initiative to improve the question rather than doing the task for them.
Of course, being helpful in particular to new users is a good thing, but perhaps we can expect at least a minimum of own effort from someone coming here for help.
That said, I in no way meant to criticize you for taking action there.
Hmm, yeah I can see what you mean. However, it is sometimes difficult to know where to draw the line, or how low the bar should go. .
@AdminBee As you yourself have just stated, for new users it can be difficult. Maybe they don't know how to code format, or migrate data from one post to another, so I often think that one or two edits may be a nudge and/or help show how to manage their edits. Obviously after a couple of attempts, and then if there is no response then one might as well give up on a lost cause... :-)
Of course. As I said, it is only my personal opinion that in this case the lower threshold, and I personally also think that the emphasis should be on helping new users. It was also meant (albeit to a smaller amount) as a reminder to the OP (who will also see the comment) that they are currently expected to take action.
But again, I really think you are doing a great effort and no criticism whatsoever was intended.

Maybe I am being a little too enthusiastic. On SE.3DP we have quite a high standard of post quality which we try to maintain and fortunately we have a number of skilled documentation geeks (like myself), so we tend to go overboard on editing.. :-)
@AdminBee No, don't worry, none taken. :-)
Well I can certainly relate to the "going overboard on editing" part ;)
So, once again thanks for your work, and have a nice day :)
I can come across as a bit gung-ho sometimes, and I must admit I can get a bit grumpy with my comments, especially after wading through a load of poorly formatted posts in the reviews. lol.
@AdminBee You too. All the best :-)
