Q: Is it intentional that nomination posts can be edited by the candidates even after the nomination phase has ended?

@TheAmplitwist Good question, not yet answered. It seems a locked post is typically uneditable, unanswerable , un-commentt-able. I see how, if in fact candidates can alter their posts, this could render comments meaningless. Again, CMs have too little foresight wrt changes they make.
Is that your mobile cookies, or is it you, @Alexander? :-)

It is I

@Amplitwist @JNat. Hence as far as I'm concerned, I had thoroughly red all answers from all candidates, prior to voting. I refuse to check for updates, because I'd consider them too little, too late.

honestly, I don't really know if this is a new issue we introduced with the recent election automation work, or if this was already a thing but folks just noticed it now...

@JNat Fair enough. I just ask that CMs take time to evaluate the repercussions of changes they make on site. There is too little acknowledgement of poor decisions from CMs/Developers of SE. That happens wrt moderators toward users, as well, but CMs and Developers are paid staff. Acknowledgement of errors is hardly a sign of weakness. It is actually a sign of strength, and of respect towards those who point out mistakes.
