@steve I was kinda afraid you would say that. I immediately thought of you as replacing @SteveOstermiller - if no one more qualified / longer standing in the community puts their hand up I will [ maybe reluctantly ] do so, but I think SteveOstermiller's stewardship has been excellent, and I doubt I could come close. If it is a regular thing, and he is standing, he has my vote.
The last moderator election on this site was in 2013, so this isn't something that happens on a regular basis. Elections are held when we need new moderators. That can either be because of an increased workload or moderator attrition. In this case a moderator has been inactive for a couple years and is being replaced.
A moderator elected in this election would only be a moderator of Pro Webmasters, not of any other Stack Exchange site.
Great - so you are continuing on, and this is to replace someone else who is no longer active in the community then - and importantly to me - do I understand that you will continue on as a moderator and that this is to supplement, not replace you?

@Steve and @davidgo I would encourage each of you to run. I would be happy to moderate side by side with either of you. I am not stepping down and I will continue to spend several hours a week here. This site has little enough activity and few enough active users that there is the danger that nobody qualified steps forward.
Moderator duties here are far from onerous. The commitment is mostly checking in every day to handle a handful of flagged posts, close some questions, or respond to the occasional meta question. I tend to check in several times a day and usually spend about 5 minutes on moderator specific actions each time. I spend more time acting as a normal user: commenting, voting, and answering questions.,
Ok, thank you for clarifying that. I'll read up a bit more on whats involved and possibly throw my hat in the ring. If Steve does likewise he has my vote.

Thanks for the vote of confidence (I think) but I truly have no aspirations to be a mod. There are times when I can't log in for a while so it isn't ideal anyways.
