- I hope you got my point right: sequoia trees and amoebae are NOT the illustration of my definition of immortality. In fact, according to my definition, they are mortal. Anything that can be killed is mortal. Jesus' body after resurrection would be a perfect illustration of immortality as His body now cannot be dead in any possible way ("Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him" - Rom 6:9)

@brilliant: OK, gotcha about the trees and amoebas. Any thoughts on my other comments, either fer or agin, positive or negative. I'm not fishing for compliments (though we all can benefit from those, if they're sincere, from time to time), but just an honest reaction or two. For example, where do you think our thinking diverges most obviously?
