@Ward-ReinstateMonica I don't think that's a correct state of affairs but the window to fix that short of a miracle is probably gone
I still think trying to revive the SF community would be a worthy goal but it needs a different mindset from management than we often see

@Ward-ReinstateMonica I land on a variety of SE sites all the time. If it's SF I'll nose around but even that it becoming lessened. I have no real interest in keeping up-to-date. The company really are just abusers of the game players good will. They know ( and have known for a long time) that the people they rely on most are the ones who will, given the most infinitesimal concessions give them 'just one more chance' over and over again. This is what abusive relationships are made of.

Despite what some people might like to think, clutching at straws never ends well.

@JourneymanGeek The problem I seen is after N00b incident, some year after they did the Monica incident, with that lost some older members (Jenny, Sven, etc..), now they strike back with the AI thing. I wonder if someday they will learn how to talk with volunteers.

@JourneymanGeek yea :| To give an example, like I'am a mod on Microsoft Q&A too, by error I banned some users that were using AI, I followed same rule as here. After a bit got in touch with the platform VP, he just told me the policy is there, and we allow them (chatgpt answer) if attribution is gave. It ended with him telling me to keep the good work.
No drama, nothing, just like it should be with volunteers.
